Antonio McDyess Chooses Pistons

After apparently being the League’s Most Wanted Free Agent after he was bought out by the Nuggets, it’s being reported that Antonio McDyess has decided to go back to the Pistons.

We’re assuming he made the decision before watching the Pistons get cracked by almost 30 by the T-Wolves last night.

I’ve never done this before, so first!

I really think the NBA needs to change this rule though. The first case I remember of this was the Gary Payton to Atlanta trade. These sort of deals are clearly planned out by the teams before the initial trade goes through and it completely goes against why the salaries have to match up to make a deal in the first place. These moves make the NBA look like a joke.

he shoulda went to Boston, LA, or houston and got himself a shot at ring. money is obviously not an issue for him, but does he think Detroit is a contender?? Rip sucks with Chauncy gone.

Houston would have been good for him. they play Hayes and Landry, they need help at the PF and he’d have Yao, Ron, and Battier with him.

I kinda agree with Simon…I’m sure there’s some intricacies that I simply don’t understand yet, but it definitely looks a little off when teams do this.

That being said, my LA/Detroit finals matchup is coming to fruition…

  5. Gerard says:

Houston was unlikely to get him, they are saving their money for Dikembe

yeah I’m interested to see how the Pistons work now with Dyess back coming off the bench…they haven’t been the same without him…they miss him more than Billups right now…He gives them that solid scoring threat off the bench, plus rebounding…and if Rip Hamilton could make a jump shot we’d be even better…

Billups is looking good in Denver though…

he should go to thunder and be a franchise player!!!

The only impact this will have is Sheed’s fantasy value will go down. Kiss that championship ring goodbye…
