Chris Richard Headlines 2008 D-League Draft
We already let you know that the 2008 D-League Draft is in the books. This past Friday, all sixteen teams selected the rights to ten players via telephone conference call to fill out their rosters.
While the Tulsa 66ers selected Chris Richard, with the No. 1 pick, there were many other notables names on the board including Smush Parker, David Noel, Russell Robinson, James White, Jawaan McClellan, Julius Page and Kris Clack (yes, he’s still playing basketball).
Who’s the first to make it into the League this season?

Fred Gibson with Albuquerque (sic) is pretty interesting. He was quite the wide receiver for Georgia. (I wish he had gone to Florida.) Done with pro football, ready for pro basketball? (Is Randy Moss next?)

Clack used to have mad hops, I think you meant. That seems to be a pretty consistent thing with all these guys on that list. I saw him playing in a HS game where he got bloodied and all the ladies went crazy when he changed jerseys.

McClellan might be depending on how his knees end up holding up. The guy can defend and hit a three pointer, think small Bruce Bowen
