Danny Granger’s Ideal NBA Comparison
Yesterday we went around the office forever to try to figure out Danny Granger’s ideal NBA comparison. Though he’s already at 25-per game, Granger is still only seven games into his fourth season and he’s clearly not a household name at this point.
But as he continues to progress and makes it onto SportsCenter with monster blocks like this one, Granger might start to get real shine. The question is who will he be “marketed” as following in the footsteps of? Here are some names that have been thrown out there:
* A bigger Josh Howard
* A more athletic Stephen Jackson
* A better three-point shooting Grant Hill
* A better defending version of Rashard Lewis
Who is Danny Granger’s ideal NBA comparison?

I think he is a throw back kind of guy. He rebounds, you would feel comfortable with him at the four, he is not a great shooter more of a scorer. He normally torches you from mid range and being a bull going to the basket. When you watch him play he reminds me of Bernard King a lot. Through Glen Robinson in there too (offensively) but overall I say Bernard King

Way more Pippen than any other contemp players they try to say is like Pippen just because their ceiling is second string. Besides Prince that is.

Easy to forget how incredibly good Grant Hill was . . . Granger isn’t on his level yet.
I’ll go for the Josh Howard comparison.

the only respectable good players on that list are grant (back in the day) and Captain Jack (if he continues to take a leaders mentality). I say he is a much better 3 point shooting Grant Hill.
Josh Howard is overrated
Rashard is a bust - he got paid too much and contributes too little.

A better 3 point shooting, less everything else Grant Hill.
Grant Hill was sick before he got injured, a Hall of Fame talent. Granger is good but nowhere near that.

He is way better than all those guys if he keeps it up and a fair comparision is to the greatest small forward of all time and thats scottie pippen.

granger should not have his name in the same sentence as hill. Hill was THAT DUDE before he got hurt. IMO he was hands down the best in the L back then. (leaving out MJ of course).
