Detroit Now Has The Answer
Yesterday was A.I.’s first home game as a Piston. Reebok wanted to make sure Iverson was welcomed with open arms (like he wouldn’t be?!), so they hit the streets of Detroit and handed out posters and tees with the phrase; “Detroit Now Has The Answer.”
Only fans who were in the right place at the right time had the chance to get the tee or poster. We recieved a box of them today and they went like hot cakes…all but one.
Whomever can leave the best comment as to why Iverson is the Answer in Detroit will get the tee. Get the typing you only have 24 hours (4:30pm EST tomorrow the contest ends).

The Real Tyrone says:
Iverson ain’t the answer y’all. Cat’s been overrated his entire career - he got wicked scoring ability forsho, but that don’t mean he’s a winner. Ain’t no doubt that Dumars acquired the “Answer” for his expiring contract.
A thug ain’t never writes shit just fo getting some punkass t-shirt.
True thugs never lie.

rob stewart says:
Detroit now has the Answer to finally getting over the hump and reaching the NBA Finals, not just that of the Eastern Conference. He also is the Answer to the East being relevant again. Oh yeah, did you notice he switched shoes during his first game with Detroit? He took off his Omni Hex joints and exchanged them for his RBK Answer VII shoes. So now Detroit officially has the Answer in human and shoe form!

Haqq says:
He is the answer because he is the answer
Iverson + X = Answer
Iverson = Answer/X
Iverson = Answerx
.’. Therefore he is the answer.

CasualFan says:
Iverson is the answer for Detroit. But not in the way most people would think. At first glance he gets tagged with the role of the guy to get them over the hump….. but when you think about it do you really think his addition will be enough to get past Boston? No. I’m sure Joe Dumars has pondered this also.
Iverson is the answer because he is a win-win situation. If he finds the chemistry with the Pistons and they win in the finals(very unlikely), its great… If they don’t get to the finals again(very likely)…. They can unload him and Rasheed at the end of the year, and still have a quality core group/cap money($$$lots of it$$$) to attract a disgruntled free agent who wants to taste a championship(Lebron or Wade come to mind) in the NBA free agent sweepstakes known as the summer of 2010.
Iverson can be a dual purpose answer: on the court and off the court. Present & Future. Allen Iverson will bring answers to Detroit. We won’t really know what kind until June 2009 though.

Kishoor says:
Iverson is The Answer in Detroit because Iverson has been looking forward to playing with a team with a supporting cast. He now has all star caliber players, and an olympic gold medalist. Detroit’s missing piece is The Answer. Thus Allen Iverson is the Answer in Detroit.

gooooai!!! says:
AI is the answer in Detroit because he goes out there plays every game like it’s his last.
“When you come to the arena, and you see me play, you’ve seen me play right, you’ve seen me give everything I’ve got…I can’t win them all. I’m human. I am just like you. You might be a little better than me in your eyes or from the people that love you but you’re human just like me, right? You are no different. You bleed just like I bleed, you cry just like I cry, you hurt just like I hurt. But I am Allen Iverson, I get paid to play basketball.”

The Real Detroit Kev says:
*cue the Where Amazing Happens music*
Iverson is the Answer here because the Pistons can’t go another year running out the same five guys. He is the Answer here because night in night out, he brings one of the most incendiary offensive games in the world on the court. He is the Answer here because even if he doesn’t help Detroit back into the Finals, it’ll be okay as long as he gave every game 100% ( and if you remember the 2001 Finals you’ll know) and if the weather is right, the city of Detroit would welcome him back for the end of his career. Because Allen Iverson was the Answer before Barack Obama and affirmative action. Me and my neighbors here, and every other kid across ghetto America looked at the tattoos and braids, the attention and undeniable talent he had and it said to us “You have the chance to get out of there too.” Because Allen Iverson, the toughest “litte-big guy” in the league, belongs in the toughest city in America.

because the city of detroit has a win/win situation.if they do well,it was because they have AI(aka answer). if they dont’t do well, they have his expiring contract=cap room=possibly lbj(aka solution)…let me get that shirt and next years lbj/det shirt

I don’t follow Haqq’s math. Non sequitur, and none of the equations are equivalent.
Detroit has the Answer, but not the solution. AI has always been straight fire, but unfortunately I think he’ll end up being another king without a crown. Unless they do some under-the-table KG trade crap again and stack him with a bunch of legit all-stars.
