Devin Harris Steals AI’s Show

New Jersey Nets

Though Allen Iverson looked completely in sync with the rest of the Pistons (particularly Rip), his 24-point, 5-dime opener in a Pistons’ uniform has been completely overshadowed by Devin Harris, who has rattled off 37 points in 38 minutes.

In the game’s final minute, AI brought Detroit back within four, but Harris iced matters down the stretch with two consecutive tough buckets. Rodney Stuckey tried to pretend like he got shot by a screener with a weak flop, but the refs ate their whistles and Harris hit a lay-up to seal the deal.

No doubt there are lots of Pistons fans out there shaking their heads saying no way Devin gets anywhere near 40 with Chauncey Billups on the floor.

when dime did the article about the nba worst defenders
i said it iveron is worse than nash imo.

You can hardly blame Iverson for Harris’ night. He spent the entire 3rd quarter on the free throw line.

Atleast two trips in that game should have been called fouls.

BTW, anyone see AI rockin’ the Undrcrwn Obama t-shirt on the way into the arena? Personally I voted for Palin (F McCain!) but still figured someone would appreciate it.

  4. QuEsT??? says:

anyone who saw the game knows that it wasnt ai’s fault that harris put up 38 points, and not only that if billups was guArding him harris would hve gone for 50

  5. v says:

u seriously cannot blame iverson for the loss or the way Harris played. Iverson looked good with them n Harris just had one if those nights.

  6. the_don_mega says:

it was just a case of a bad night to have your debut… ain AI’s fault though…

Even if Billups was on the floor, Devin would have got his tonight anyways. It was one of those nights. I watched the game and U cant blame Iverson for that loss (although thats what the media is going to do anyhow) oh well..Iverson had a nice night though, shot 50% from the field had 6 assists..speaking of that isn’t Devin Harris supposed to be a PG, dude only had 2 asst tonight. LOL! But im not mad at him, I like Devin and people have been saying that he has been struggling so far this season, so im glad he had a good night and im happy Iverson is with the Pistons…and although all these teams want McDyss his agent has said he’ll more then likely be returning to Detroit because he doesnt want to move anymore. Again, Pistons win.

And while Iverson has his nights when his defense is off…he is NOT worse Nash, LOL!! But one thing I will give Iverson and Nash is that although they are smaller, they at least try…there are some cats in the L that are 6’6 210 that just stand there stuck on stupid.

Oh and all those people who said Iverson wouldn’t look right with the Pistons and might mess up the flow..just got proved wrong, he looked fine. Dude only shot the ball 12 times and had Devin not look like a Super Hero tonight (LOL), the Pistons would have walked away with another easy win.

Once the Pistons knock down some practices and games together and get their chemistry on point, the Pistons are going to be a real interresting team to watch.

On another note, WTF is wrong with the Spurs? SMH

so did my late mom. its not funny

  14. me says:

iverson will run detroit into the ground. ball hog and porous on defense

  15. tim says:

    pistons are gonna be A-ok…

    Just give it a week…

I do think Rip got lost a little on the floor in the 3rd. and closing moments of the first half…but its game one…

That Iverson Stuckey Hamilton 3 guard rotation looks promising in stretches…it’ll give the Pistons a nice change of pace…

about those UNDRCRWN shirts, apparently Sheed bought some for the entire team, since he knows someone there…

thats in case you didn’t see the clip on TV.
