Dwight Howard Sends Derrick Rose Into the Third Row
Before the Magic/Bulls game tipped off last night, the talk around the Dime office about that game revolved around how Derrick Rose has been able to get past everyone who has tried to check him. But there’d be no way that he could get past Dwight Howard waiting for him in the paint.
Well, we weren’t exactly right. Rose tried one of his patented moves from Memphis, the short one-handed pull-up without actually beating his man to the rack, but Dwight still found him. He tossed Rose’s offering worse than Joey Dorsey ever had in practice, all the way out to the frank man.

Nice block and everything. But did you see Rose catch the ball baseline, drop step no dribble and just flush it home with two hands?! How many point guards can do that?!
He is scary strong and athletic! Now if only Chi-Town had an offence to run/had people making their shots, his assist numbers would be better, ‘cos he is playing well.

That’s a monster block but sending it into the stands like that is meaningless. Any good coach will teach you that in high school. Sending it out like that will rattle weaker players but it won’t do anything to elite players who have poise so you just end up wasting a potential steal/fast break opportunity.
