Hasheem Thabeet Takes Back His Crazy Talk
After saying some crazy things on the cover of ESPN The Magazine, Hasheem Thabeet has finally gotten some sense.
He originally said that Luke Harangody, who gave him 32 and 16 last season, isn’t tough, and Tyler Hansbrough is “nothing.” Since then, he’s retracted his ridiculous statements.
“(The reporter) asked me a joke question,” Thabeet said. “She asked me who was the toughest player I played against last year. I thought she was joking so I say I play against Luke Harangody, I wouldn’t say he was the toughest player I played but he was making shots. He was a good player and a good person.
”She also asked me about Tyler Hansbrough. I didn’t play him so I know nothing about him. He’s a good player. … He was national player of the year last year so I think he plays pretty well. I respect that.”
Thabeet plans on dropping a note to Notre Dame, stating that he didn’t mean any disrespect.

@ Don Cannon– Are you illiterate? Read the post “He originally said that Luke Harangody, who gave him 32 and 16 last season, isn’t tough, and Tyler Hansbrough is “nothing.” I understand that he’s retracted his statements, but he should of just kept his mouth shut. Luke is going to beast this guy once again just for saying stupid shit. The point I was making was that He was better off not saying anything.

Overt racism, much? To hang 32/16 on someone is not solely due to having one’s shot ‘fall’.

I notice this too much and need to say something.
It’s “should’ve”, not “should of”.
The first is the abbreviation of “should have”, the second is complete nonsense.

Thabeet will be a beast this year. He might not score alot of points but he will be a dominant player.

IF I’m not mistaken Thabeet was the defensive player of the year and he also lead the country in blocks at least 2 of the last 3 seasons or something like that. He has SOME clout if he did say these things.
