Because its really not that serious. You act as if you played with Iverson, get over it...and anyone with commen sense knew the Nuggets weren't going to be contenders anytime soon. They won 50 games last year and probably should have been better then they were...but to act as if they weren't missing pieces to the puzzle is silly...I read this blog a lot, so I know you're a fan, but come on now. I used to be one of Iversons biggest critics, but even I see how many haters that guy has. 'Kudabeen' is right, ive never seen a player so vilianized. People say he shoots the ball too much (then he's called a ballhogg), then when he doesn't shoot the ball he's accused of being 'washed up'. They talk about his age, yet Steve Nash is an entire year OLDER then Iverson and no one talks about his age. Hell KG, Tim Duncan, Ray Allen Steve Nash, Stephon and so many others are around the same age as Iverson if not older yet no one says anything. Hell even Kobe is 30 yrs old now. Yet people been accusing Iverson of 'losing a step' since he was 28 yrs old..its almost as if they just want him to fall off. Its crazy now. Face it, people have one set of rules for Iverson and another set for other players. I have to admit that i've never seen a player like Iverson, and we probably wont see another player like him again, so people just need to sit back and enjoy the fact that we get to witness great athletes before they are gone from the game...instead of sitting around hoping and wishing they would just fall off and hoping their teams do bad, thats not right.
