Jason Richardson out for a week

NBA)As if things couldn’t get worse for Larry Brown and the 2-5 Bobcats, turns out Jason Richardson will be out for about a week after undergoing an exploratory knee scope early this morning. According to the Charlotte Observer, after last night’s home loss to the Nuggets, J-Rich woke up in the middle of the night feeling pain and swelling in his right knee.
The ‘Cats leading scorer at 17.6 points per, J-Rich is also responsible for 21% of the team’s field-goal attempts and more than a quarter of Charlotte’s three-point tries. If anyone’s fighting to hide a grin right now, it’s D.J. Augustin, who will likely take advantage of the new opportunities that have opened up.

Jason Richardson is one of the more underrated players in the league. he has fallen victim to his own success as a dunker; now he is viewed as just a dunker.
but that is a mistake. he can actually ball. but he’s on the wrong team. his agent needs to work out a new trade to get him where he can shine and pick up ‘wins’. And neither of them things are gonna happen in charlotte with that puss of a coach larry brown.
san antonio should really look into moving manu ginobli for jason richardson. ….shocker i know, but consider how it will help the spurs.
had detroit not traded billups and re-signed rip to an extension, i always said rip hamilton for jason richardson (straight up) would benefit both teams.
since he can’t go to detroit and the spurs will nevr trade manu, jason richardson would be best suited to play for dallas (they need youth and explosiveness) or for the utah jazz or maybe even the knicks
…and btw dime….being out for only 1 week is no big deal. he’ll prolly only miss 3 games; at the most
