King for the Night
LeBron James (photo. Nike)All day long we’ve been updating you on, as DimeMag.com reader “justice” puts it, what could, “go down in history as the greatest sales pitch ever” — otherwise known as the huge to-do being made of LeBron James‘ New York City appearance tonight.
Along with LeBron-inspired playground takeovers and quasi-block parties throughout Manhattan, we’ve got word from a very good authority that there’s some even crazier stuff planned in and around Madison Square Garden leading up to Knicks/Cavs at 7:30 p.m. EST. Come back to the site later on for more photos and updates of the madness.

Real question? Ok how many does LeBron drop tonight on the Knicks in light of all this balley-whoo!
I’m say he drops 43, but it would be even greater if he dropped 23 (in a win) and hit that last say 3 to win the game.
Now that would be reedikqulous!

I think he’s gonna blow both ACL’s. And also separate a shoulder. Thanks for the jinx, NY!

Can this be viewed as a form of tampering on Nike’s part by the league. If the Knicks were behind this they would definitely be fined…so why is it ok for the endorsement company (that is tied to the league by paying Lebron) to do something like this?
Can’t imagine anyone in the Cleveland organization/ownership would be happy with this – do they have any ground to stand on for Nike to be reprimanded?

If you were a Knicks player at the moment wouldn’t you be kinda pissed knowing your team doesn’t give a shit about you whatsoever, and is welcoming a guy to drop in fifty buckets on you. Get a fuckin life New York.

Lebron/Nike are just taking advantage of speculation to create revenue for the Lebron Brand, which in turn creates revenue for the league. While the league probably could view this as tampering, would they really want to?
Lebron is seen by the league as their “Golden Child”, the player who will take Jordan’s(and Kobe’s?) place as the face of the game. Therefore, they will let him do pretty much whatever he wants as long as they are getting paid. It is a bit ludicrous and over-the-top, but people are paying attention, and others are getting paid. Everybody’s happy.

As a fellow NY’er & Knicks fan, I would have to say this is a little insane. I’m definitely disappointed how NY is throwing ourselves at this guy to be our “savior” when a lot of ish can happen in 2 years. This insanity is why I can’t stand the BronBot.
Call me crazy, but I might be the only Knicks fan on the planet that doesn’t want BronBot in NYC.

Imagine if LeBron does horrible tonight or GOD forbid something does happen to him. I mean with this practically being LeBron Day, that would be a hard let down for many I guess.
I mean if you are among those caught up in wanting him to go to NYC. LeBron haters will be out in mass tomorrow if he don’t do something at his average level or higher tonight.
Reaction of the crowd will be interesting.

naw BX im not a big Bron Bron fan either… not saying i dont want him on the knicks i just dnt think we need to be chasing him down we already held all the cards over the otehrh teams but now by chasing him we let him hold the cards.. we’ll look real stupid if he goes somewhere else..
Also i think its harder to build a team round bron b/c he’s a SF that dominates the ball. It would be easier if he was a PG or C.. I would rather have Dwade than bron but I aint gonna lie if we get BRon i’ll be excited..
