Knicks/Clippers trade is official
Zach Randolph, Dime #19After a momentary hold-up involving Cuttino Mobley‘s health concerns, reports out of NYC say both Cat and Tim Thomas have completed their physicals, which means last week’s Clippers/Knicks trade is official.
Thomas and Mobley are expected to be in uniform tonight when the Knicks play the Cavs, and Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins will suit up for the Clippers tomorrow against the Nuggets.

hmm, so Zach who is a 20-10 PF, is on the clippers, (leaving the east there goes his chance of being recognized as an all star) he still has all star talent.
teamed up with Baron, Camby who can block shots and supposedly play D, you’ve got Al Thorton and Eric Gordon, 2 young, talented wing guys…
now if they trade Chris Kaman (or Camby whatever) to a team that needs a big man, for a talented wing guy (Kamby for Marion?), wouldn’t that clippers be pretty decent?

But then again, its the Clippers.
The best thing they could do is trade their whole team for Eric Piatkowski and rebuild for the future.

then it would be (if salaries worked, if its a good trade)
Baron/VC backcourt, Randolph/Camby down low, Thorton at SF maybe one more move for a good forward.
I still think Camby for Marion is kinda viable, and makes both teams better.

Kaman would be a great piece down here because
a)He would add much needed scoring presence in the low post.
b)He would allow Udonis Haslem to move to the bench (Yakhouba Diawara has been the starter in place of Marion anytime he’s not played)where he could do some real damage as a guy who comes in for short spurts for energy.Although starting might hurt Diawara’s effectiveness.
c)He would make Michael Beasley’s life so much easier. Beasley’s game revolves around shooting midrange jumpers and having a legit threat in the middle would clear space for him. Also Haslem would be able to relieve him on nights he struggles

Maybe Dime could do an online article, the trade that never was (I always hear about fear the trade won’t go through but cannot remember one that didn’t)

Miami couldnt afford me. Miami could use Kaman, he’s no young Shaq but they dont evne want Marion anyway.
Really at the end of the day Randolph was pretty much given away, which is a shame really.
big Sia is that a real trade rumor?
if so i think they should hold out for Gerald, even though Barons got history with J Rich, Gerald is special.
Crazy thought: miami makes moves for Milicic, I still giving them 3 guys from 03, and I still belive that guy can play.

I think that AI trade tht was cancled the year before he lead them to the finals because the big man that was thrown in to make salaries work vetoed it something. I’d say that ones huge.

I doubt charlotte would give up G Walls, he’s definetly a special player who MJ and the rest of the organization really value. They see J Rich as a fading star and would like to move him, and i agree it would definetly boost B-Diddy’s dying morale in LAC
Remember when the Shareef signing by the Nets got cancelled due to physical? Rod Thorn looks like a genius now.

I doubt you have the authority to do that. I think I’ll hang on to this ring anyway its the only one ill ever get. especially when Dwades legs acctually literally fall off from overuse. until then I’ll keep getting standing on my tip toes on defense.
Seriously do I do the jump balls at the start of each game? can we just sign someone taller than Carmelo Anthony? anyone at all?
