AB vs Yao was always a stupid comparison. Yao’s averagin almost 17ppg (on 13 shots/game), 9rbs with 1.7 blocks as the #1 option for the Rockets while playin about 36 mins.
AB gettin 9ppg(on 7 shots/game), 9rbs and 2.8 blks as the 3-4th option for LA playin about 28 mins.
Common sense says Yao SHOULD average more points per as a result of him gettin more shots. So while Yao gets 30 against Dallas, AB only needs to get 10-15 cuz Kobe gets 30, Pau gets 20+, and everybody else fills in. Lakers don’t need AB to score. We need reboundin, blocks and defense as the Finals showed.
Let’s compare Bynum to Oden again…..oh wait

If Yao blocked Kobe, no one would say a thing. Now that I think of it, if Yao blocked Kobe, someone WOULD say something. Kobe. Kobe would have fallen down, gotten back up and whined to the refs halfway back down the floor.

The 1st half is when the Rockets got up to 16pt lead and then the refs showed up……took all the fun out of the Matchup. Notice how when Yao goes out the game, everybody wants to drive the ball. They don’t wait for Bynum to sit….

TOP 10 Centers

1) Dwight – has dude ever even missed a game? 4 blks? How many shots changed?
2) Yao – livin off his numbers but not really makin an impact. Correct me if I’m wrong, but team won majority of games in 22 game win streak without him.
3) Big Z – Yao should hope that after all the injuries he can have a career like Z. So underrated, it’s stupid.
4)A. Biedrins – Can’t ignore 17, 14, and 2
5) Chris Kaman – dude is seriously underrated, but Boom’s gonna make his game bubble.
6) Bynum – doin what you want your center to do WHEN he’s not the 1st option. Catch some oops, putbacks, rebound, defend, block shots
7)Tyson – see Bynum. I still ain’t never seen TC make an offensive move
8)Spencer Hawes – dude is legit. Block, rebound, hit 3s
9) Andrew Bogut or Sam Dalembert – it’s a pick ‘em. They both got sh** to work on. One can’t shoot field goals, one can’t shoot free throws
10) Still Shaq. Has a flashback once in a while and kills

Not countin power forwards pressed into duty so no Al Jeff, Tim D, Horford, J O’Neal and Camby’s a 4 now maybe shoulda had Brad Miller but he just got back, and Marc Gasol too new
