LeBron is going for 80 this year
LeBron James (photo. Mannion)No, King James isn’t talking about challenging Kobe’s 81-point performance — although against the Warriors’ D, anything is possible.
LeBron tells the Cleveland Plain-Dealer he’s set a personal goal to shoot 80 percent at the free throw line this season; a five-point jump from his previous best, when he connected on 75 percent from the stripe as a rookie. Typically ‘Bron has been in the high-60s/low-70s throughout his career, but so far this year he’s at 77 percent.
“I’ m just being focused,” James said. “Hitting free throws is all about getting in a routine and sticking with it. And I think our team hasn’ t been shooting them well, and it’ s kind of contagious. I’ m starting to shoot the ball well.”
The last time I watched the Cavs play — when LeBron went 9-for-10 at the stripe against the Pistons — I noticed his routine at the line had changed a bit. He seems to be taking slower dribbles between shots. A common trick for shooters to improve their numbers at the line is to change something about their routine, but as ‘Bron said, it’s really all about focus, plus repetition. If he stays around the 80-percent mark, the Cavs are that much more dangerous as a championship contender.

Hahahaha that’s a good one.
But on the real, why does everyone hate when Dime publishes about LeBron? This is a basketball website, and there’s nobody more relevant than LeBron…He’s the MVP forerunner, a global icon, and arguably the best doing it right now. Keep up the good work y’all.

Lebrons number are not any different from what he’s done before. So why is he the MVP front runner. When he put up that 41, 30 something, 41, 41 it was the best damn thing to happen to the NBA. But when Kobe drops five 50 point games straight, with one of those being a 60 something point explosion it dose get the same attention. When Lebron averages 40 for two whole months like the Mamba and Wilt hit me up.
