Rest him, they don’t need to catch anybody in the standings, they need to make the playoffs and have healthy guys.

T.W.U. – Manu was due back in Mid-December originally forecasted.

And the 2008 playoffs injury was not due to his minutes from the regular season but a particular play against the Hornets where he came down wrong (I remember seeing it and thinking, “No bueno”). Sure enough that play did in fact hurt his ankle and killed the Spurs’ chances against the Fakers.

So I don’t see the need to sit him when our Spurs need to catch up to the Rockets right now in the standings. Did you see the game tonight? He was the reason they pulled away in the 3rd quarter when he scored like 7 points in two-and-a-half minutes which led a 23-6 run or something like that, we need that spark homey!

Pop and Manu both said that he would increase his PT by like 4 minutes/game, so next game he’ll get like 14-16 minutes, then 18-20 and so on until he is in game shape again.

In even bigger (well as big) news, Tony Parker is not gonna be out 3 more weeks, Coach said it won’t even be two weeks, which means he will probably be back next week.

Great news for fantasy owners like myself!

The Spurs are hanging around without him. Slowly ease him back in, it’s a long season and it’s only about 20% in.

He’s a playoff killer and you don’t want to risk having him less than 100% come April.
