NBA Match Game, 11.26

Five matchups to watch on Wednesday’s schedule…

Oklahoma City @ Cleveland: Kevin Durant vs. LeBron James
After OKC interim coach Scott Brooks re-arranged the lineup and moved Durant to small forward, KD’s first big test is against the best SF in the world. The Thunder should at least go at LeBron with a combination of the long-limbed Durant and designated defensive stopper Jeff Green. On the other end of the floor, Mike Brown will go to his best athlete (LeBron) to defend Durant, who has scored 30 and 29 points, respectively, in his last two games.

Indiana @ Houston: Danny Granger vs. Hell on Earth
Would you rather have Ron Artest in your shirt or Shane Battier? How about both?
(NBA League Pass, 8:30 p.m.)

Memphis @ Utah: Mike Conley/Kyle Lowry vs. Deron Williams
Before Larry Hughes brought Jordan memories back to Salt Lake on Monday, Jerry Sloan’s biggest problem was that Ronnie Price had absolutely nothing for Derrick Rose. Now that his star is back and reportedly 100% healthy, Sloan has his answer for the League’s top point guards. Going up against the Grizzlies’ young PG combo tonight, here’s a suggestion for Deron: Give Conley the jumper. It will save you a lot of trouble.
(NBA League Pass, 9 p.m. EST)

Golden State @ Boston: Jamal Crawford vs. Rajon Rondo
Rondo has been ballin’ out lately, and after helping Boston drop 118 points on the Raptors their last time out, credits it to taking Doc Rivers’ suggestion to push the tempo even more. That won’t be a problem against the Warriors, where Crawford was held to a surprisingly quiet nine points and seven assists in his debut against an inspired Wizards defense.
(NBA League Pass, 7:30 p.m.)

Denver @ L.A. Clippers: Kenyon Martin vs. Zach Randolph
K-Mart has looked especially good with Chauncey Billups in the lineup, proving all he needs is an All-Star point guard on his side and he’s money. It’s Z-Bo’s debut with the Clippers, and on another note, Marcus Camby’s first game against his former team.

Heat vs. Blazers… Wade vs. Roy and Fernandez defense… Wade has been solid but can the rest of crew step up, what miami heat big will be able to stay with aldridge, oden, frye, etc. Joel Anthony?!?!? i wouldnt think so. Roy is looking great, but can he share the rock enough to get everyone involved?

    Good match game post.

@1 “but can he share the rock enough to get eveyone involved”

I don’t think that is the question. B-Roy will never be a super-star because he will forever be unselfish. He will definitely get everyone involved but can he adequately guard flash. B-Roy is a decent defender but Wade is playing out of his gourd.

  5. Dagomar says:

Well. So much for the Cleveland game lol.

  6. D.H. says:

    poor poor OKC.

  7. Amar says:

did you see that memo steal right before the half (4 seconds left), he gets it at half court, takes a dribble, throws a pass in the air to brewer who makes a touch-pass alley-oop (again, in the air) to AK-47 with the buzzer beating dunk? this is def not your mark eaton/darrel griffith/mark iavaroni utah jazz . . .

  8. Amar says:

seems like the 3rd quarter at home is a regular utah jazz dunk-a-thon. (ronnie price, cj miles, ronnie brewer, andrei kirilenko, paul millsap lineup) no one notices, but the jazz are an entertaining team to watch when boozer is out of the lineup shooting those weak-ass jumpers.

  9. hooper5013 says:

I select Mo Cheeks for worst Coach in league HISTORY! He fucking sucks! I would hate to play against the rockets those two are both ANNOYING on defense for opposite reasons. RON is a bull and Shane is a PEST! Poor perimeter scorers.

  10. Lauri says:

Have you seen Melo lately..?He is playing GREAT his shot doesn,t fall but he is averaging more than 9 rbds and giving out four dimes
