The Cherry Lounge FlierReportedly pulling a Vincent Chase, last Monday O.J. Mayo never showed up to his own super-hyped 21st birthday party in Tempe, Arizona.
“Multiple sources in Tempe, Arizona tell TMZ Mayo took more than a grand from local promoters, promising he’d show up at the Cherry Lounge after his game on Monday. Around 1:00 AM, Mayo’s manager told people at the club O.J. was in bed and wouldn’t be coming out.”
While a rep for the Grizzlies says Mayo was on the team plane back to Memphis right after the game, it appears no one really knows anything other than that O.J. was wasn’t there.

i think this shows the maturity of mayo, instead of going out on 21st birthday and getting shit-faced all night he rests so he’s ready for the next game. Hell I know if I was in the league and it was my 21st b-day i wouldn’t be partying especially after torching the suns.

I remember reading a article on OJ mayo and Bill walker back in the day; their coach apparently “advised” them to repeat a grade in junior high to basically have a year to improve on their skills. It must have worked to some degree, their both in the league but that is part of the reason why he’s a 21 year old rookie…
