The Shaq Twitter Fiasco

Shaquille O'NealShaq

Last week, we were duped. We thought that Shaq dissed Andrew Bogut as “Ericka Dampier with a beard” on Twitter.com, a social networking site. But it turns out that wasn’t actually the Diesel.

However, there is good news. Someone brought this news to Shaq’s attention, and now he’s actually on Twitter, speaking his mind.

Some of his latest updates help to address the recent rumors that he said that he’d like to return to the Lakers after his contract in Phoenix expires.

“It said on the scrolling ticker tape jammy shaq would like to return to the lakers when his contract is up. Thats not true, this is the real shaq.”

This is straight from the shaqs mouth I love phil jackson Kobe bryant is the best palyer in the game And the shaq kobe, kobe shaq was the best one two.”

Honestly, I’m not sure if this is the real Shaq either. But I am just about positive that everything said on this site – whether it’s by the real Diesel or a pretender – is something that has crossed his mind before.

I have to agree with Shaq… I would take Kobe and Shaq over any other two players when they were beasting teams.

“Kobe Bryant is the best player in the game And the Shaq Kobe, Kobe Shaq was the best one two.”

  3. Bruce says:

Kobe and Shaq as the best 1-2 punch in Lakers History. I agree with Shaq there. Kobe and Shaq as one-two because I don’t remember the role players but on other Lakers chamionship teams, I remember all the role players over time that is.

    Horry and DFisher.

Cooper, Worthy, Scott, Green, and so on.

  4. Bruce says:

However, Kareem and Magic — 5 rings baby over 10 years together.

Shaq is going Terrell Owens style on Kobe……..Kobe this/that, just like TO with Donovan McNabb. Kobe, Kobe, Kobe!

  5. GEE...When your learnin the facts of life says:

“Ericka Dampier with a beard” funny. Right up there with Sacramento Queens.

  6. Mamba says:

Kobe/Shaq was pretty dirty, no doubt about it,

But I would still take MJ/Pip

Bottom Line: How can you argue with Kareem/Magic taking 5 chips together in 10 years? – thats a dynasty, great point Bruce -

  8. Amar says:

okay, kareem is the all-time scoring leader and magic is the best PG of all time. i know that kobe has sold him a few shoes and shaq has played against some good centers — but kareem used to beast wilt when kareem was young, and magic has the highest bball IQ in the history of the modern game. (case in point: throwing the ball to the other end of the court instead of holding it . . . kobe would never have done that)

  9. VINNY says:

magic and Kareem-5 rings and survived each other for 10 years and they played aganist better comp!!

  10. Amar says:

and rules that worked in favor of the defenses . . . and who did shaq and kobe play in the finals? Dr.J? Larry Bird? Isiah Thomas? nope . . . Kenyon Martin and guys like Matt Geiger.

dime, why use twitter if you’re just pointing to blog posts? People can use RSS or just check the site regularly, since you guys update so much.

People would follow you guys more (if you were interested in yet another channel) if you used twitter for game night observations, or breaking news/opinions on newsworthy stuff (suspensions, trades, etc).
