Superman To Defend His Slam-Dunk Title
Superman is back!I wouldn’t be surprised if David Stern sent Dwight Howard a one word text last night that just said, “Thanks.”
First a triple-double, then a declaration that he as every intention to defend his slam-dunk title in February during All-Star Weekend in Phoenix.
“I thought about that [Wednesday], actually,” Howard said in the Orlando Sentinel. “Trying to think about what dunks I can do.”
To help himself out on the creative tip, Dwight said he has a new website dropping in the next few days, and on it he will ask fans to suggest dunks he can perform.
What dunks would you suggest for Superman?

why is the nba still doing a dunk contest?
do away with that crap.
invite the all star snubs to play a game vs the and1 mix tape team instead. that would make for a better allstar saturday night

I think its time an NBAer breaks the 360 degree barrier. I think Howard needs to go for a monsterous 540 degree dunk, leaving the floor facing the basket, completing a full rotation and a half, and finish ala reverse dunk. with authority. It would have to draw 10s and no one has completed such a dunk in all-star history.

I wanna believe #5 was sarcasm. No human being in their right mind would ever believe Wilt could jump like Dwight. Please put down the LSD and PCP, it’s making you hallucinate.
Anyways, we’ve seen VC dunk up to his elbow; maybe it’s time for Superman to dunk up to his armpit! Jumping over Shaq or some other monster would be incredible too.

I saw a listing that said wilt did 6′6″ at high jump in high school. I’ve always seen that Dwight has a 39-inch vertical. At his height, that would easily translate to at least 6′6″ for a high-jumper, if not closer to 7 feet. So at the very least, let me give wilt his props for his ups, but it’s definitely crazy to say that Howard does not have ups like Wilt. It seems they both can jump out of the gym.

he should jump while holding a wireless PS2 joystick and performing the same dunk in an NBA2k9 played in a widescreen

The “Little Shorty Rock” Dunk. Remember that commercial in the 90’s where Little Shorty Rock would dunk the ball and then pull himself on the rim to the point where he sits on the rim?
That’d be insane!

RUSTY says:
I think if he could rotate 540 degrees starting facing the basketball and do one and a half rotations ending with a slam behind his head! That would be terrific!! Or 720!!!! Sickness!
November 13th, 2008 at 6:30 pm
Raj S says:
Haha, Dwight Howard skipped college. How the hell is he gonna promote education with a dunk?
Wilt had more hops than DH did if they both were made to jump off of one leg. Off of two feet, however, DH definitely takes it.
I wonder if he can do a between the legs TWICE, reverse dunk.
