Thaddeus Young Is the Real Deal

If Sixers fans have sobered up since celebrating the Phillies’ win, they’d have something to be giddy about – and it’s not just that Elton Brand is killing it on the glass for Philly thus far.
It’s that Thaddeus Young has exceeded expectations, hitting for 22 points (four treys) against the Hawks on Saturday night, and is right back at it tonight, leading all scorers early in the fourth quarter with 18 points.

Dennis Castro says:
Great instincts for a young player. I think he can be a very good post player too if he works at it.
He’s got long arms and is surprisingly strong for someone that wiry. He can be a more effective Tayshaun offensively.

Thad Young to Andre Iguodala:
“You don’t mind if I take your shine do you?”
Sixer teams of the last couple of years haven’t been able to get blowouts…I am optimistic and like that the team is spreading the wealth and shooting well. For real Dre-I has been like an extra PG on the floor he gets guys in position to be successful. I love the way they are playing, but a closer needs to be identified and that was supposed to be Iguodala…We’ll see as the season progress how he picks his spots. He isn’t dominating the ball and the team is playing as a team…Good stuff.

Just figuring this out? Wow, you must have really ignored this squad last year.
