Though Duke won the 2K Sports Classic Benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer, they shouldn’t be guaranteed to get the tournament MVP. It’s between the Blue Devils’ Gerald Henderson and Michigan’s Manny Harris.
The Case for Henderson: Gerald has been at the heart of all of Duke’s momentum. He hasn’t shot as well from three-point range tonight as he did last night, but he’s blocked three shots, and sparked this pro-Duke crowd at MSG to go wild over some big-time alleyoops.
The Case for Harris: Though Harris didn’t torture anyone the way that Memphis’ Chris Douglas-Roberts did to UConn’s Stanley Robinson last year, he’s topped CDR’s mark of 92 total points scored in the tourney. He’s done the majority of his damage from the free throw line en route to 25 points.
Our vote: As much as we’d like to pull for the underdog, Henderson deserves it. He stood out both nights and helped Duke seal a 5-0 record against two good opponents.

Nolan smith is the next Nolan Smith..i don’t know who i can compare him with..i got to work wit him this summer in philly and his game shot out the roof and from the first time i seen him step on the court..he really can dominate a game..he’s just in a system that really takes your talent and limits it…I believe Duke is a great school but if you are looking to show you are an all american..that’s not the school…Nolan is better than Paulas…so in my eyes..this is how the season should be, and duke will be just fine.
