The Knicks Are Terrible

Jamal CrawfordThey miss ‘Mal already

How big a difference did Jamal Crawford and Zach Randolph make?

Without them, the Knicks look a lot like Isiah’s team. The loudest the Garden has been all night was when LeBron sunk two triples in the first five minutes. Since then, there’s been an undercurrent of boo’s.

In the first quarter, New York shot 34% from the floor - the only bright spot being Chris Duhon’s 8 points. Aside from that, they look abominable on offense, and pretty clueless on D. And it’s not like LeBron is killing them either. He only took four shots in the first period, but with six and a half minutes left in the first half, the Knicks are trailing 55-28.

The Tim Thomas experiment didn’t work well the first time around - and it’s looking like it could be even worse in ‘08-09. He’s 0-2 from the field, having bricked a wide open three and forcing a shot on the block. Plus, he’s got two fouls and a turnover.

Donnie Walsh made these trades at the absolute worst time. The biggest crowd of the season is here just in time to see the team looking awful.

they just pulled within 29 before the half - things are lookin’ up

since Nate Robinson is so small, do his tattoos cost less?

I bet Spike Lee bought his size 6 Lebrons at Stride Rite For Kids on 34th

Lebron is witnessing a big pile of crap

  4. fallinup says:

Maybe the Knicks were just a little demoralized after having to fight throught he crowd of red shirts to get to thier locker rooms…only to get ready to play for a team that trades away your two best players for something that quite possibly won’t even involve you when the time comes around.

    GO TEAM GO!!!

Dantonis counting the seconds till 2010 from now…
I say play Curry 40 minutes every game from now till 2010, he may get into some sort of shape and there gonna loose anyway.

NYC will become a team much like that scene in Apocalypse now where all those soldiers are on drugs and don’t know whos in charge. Except it will be Harrington and Tim Thomas just launching jumpers over and over.

seriously though now they really need to try to get something out of Jerome or Eddy.

  7. haslem says:

oh and way to entice lebron new york, boo your team too.

  8. Ashlov says:

Man, if the Knicks don’t get Lebron in 2010, this recent trade will go down as one of the most foolish ideas in NBA history.

  9. fallinup says:

I guess THE GREATEST GAME TO EVER HAPPEN IN THE HISTORY OF NEW YORK BASKETBALL was nothing but a big shit burger by halftime.

  10. JCARR says:

(At the title) When you figure that out?!? This is no surprise!

  11. haslem says:

couldnt they have traded them a little closer to 2010, its gonna be pretty much a 2 season wait

  12. R.ELI says:

Man I wish I had NBA TV!

  13. Dagomar says:

Good teams beat the teams they should. Great teams blow them out. Cavs are looking damn strong so far - Celtics watch out!

  14. B Court says:

Man LeBron is gonna be dying to go to New York after seeing what a squad they’ve put together. He’d love to play with stiffs like Harrington and Lee. Man I bet he’s pumped to go to the Knicks now. How excited do you think LeBron is now to go to the Knicks seeing as their team is that good. They’re almost as good as the team LeBron took to the finals.

Oh but right every free agent available is gonna go to new york no matter what so they’ll be stacked by then. I forgot that New York is the mecca of basketball just because there’s a lot of outdoor basketball courts there. That’s why the new york area produces so many good basketball players, because it’s the mecca of basketball.

How geeked do you think LeBron is to join a team like that. He must be pretty excited after tonight. And with every free agent in the world going to New York I wouldn’t be surprised if they never lose a game again. I mean new york is the mecca of basketball. And Woody Allen was at the game! Oh my god woody allen! He’s so famous, I’d love to play in front of him every night.

    Knicks 2010 Starting Lineup:

    Dwayne Wade
    Carmelo Anthony
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Lebron James
    Chris Bosh

Gotta be. New York is the mecca of hoops bro. The mecca.

  16. R.ELI says:

    Nope! Dwyane stays in Miami!

  17. R.ELI says:

    Thats a fantasy!

  18. dagwaller says:

    Hahahahaahahahaha B Court. Awesome.

Seriously, though, there are going to be some straight shitty teams in the next couple years as teams get ready to try to bid for the big names that are getting freed up.

  19. chaos says:

I bet none of the muthaf**** in ny thought that showign a shitty team to lebron won’t wanna make him come to ny. At least build a team that is decent and has some chemistry so by the time lbj gets there he just has to jump right in. Why give him the same crappy team he had in cleveland unless they go and pull a boston and they get lbj, bosh and dwade….

I swear watching the knicks is like watching flavor of love 4

  20. Celts Fan says:

agree w/ everything all you guys are saying, but just think, they are going to SUCK. If they get back to back high picks and draft right (always a stretch with a team still employing Isaih… somewhere) that’s a damn good foundation of young guys, and supposedly (have no idea if this is actually true, but I heard it) this last trade allows them to sign TWO max-deal guys in 2010.

  21. Brian Scalabrine says:

    hey B Court

    what about me?

  22. italo says:

Hey Celts fan that would be a good plan to get two high draft picks, but they don’t have a pick for 2010. This could get ugly

  23. Reed Ewing Frazier says:

We still have till July 1 2010 you idiots Lebron or any other free agent is not going to base their decision on the present dummies! Until he puts on a beloved Knicks Jersey he is the enemy so fuck him and those fake ass fans wearing red the other night at the Garden. Witness Cartman’s Balls you traitors!!

KNICKS UP!! all the rest down!!!
