The Nuggets Are Taking the Celtics’ Best Shot
After Denver went on an 8-0 run in the fourth quarter to take a substantial lead on the C’s, Boston came roaring back on some clutch three’s from Eddie House and Ray Allen to tie the game at 84-84.
Despite a monster cram from Garnett and some serious momentum in the TD Banknorth Garden, the Nuggets played great defense (shocking, but true) and got out to a much safer 92-84 lead.
And the key to all of their defensive stops has been Nene. He ripped KG around the three-point line, forced Rondo into an air-ball three, and generally changed the face of this game. Who needs Marcus Camby anyway?

Allen Iverson and the Pistons are looking good so far…I’m worried Kobe will put up a monster second half though. where is Rip Hamilton? I think his shooting soul left with Billups to Denver…

Billups has already changed the Nuggets. For them to withstand the Celtics shows that they may not be easy fodder in the West anymore.

Great road win for the Pistons…Iverson has some nice dimes tonight…big up to Kwame…that first pass where he lost the entry pass was hilarious…all I thought about was Dime’s joke about him catching a pass and looking around like see what i did.

The Nuggets beat the Celtics last year as well, I think that Nuggets team won around 50 games so im not so sure that qualifies them as ‘easy fodder’. But the Nuggets got killed by the Cavs lastnight playing low IQ b-ball like they usually do. I still see some of the same mistakes with Chauncy that I seen last season. So im not so sure about Chauncy changing the Nuggets, but I will say that I think he will be able to help that team be more disciplined though, hopefully. But I agree with Charles Barkeley that they are still not a top four team in the West.
On the other hand I have to give props to Detroit tonight, they had the Lakers looking a hot mess throughout the entire game. The Pistons have always owned the Lakers for the past four seasons though, I just read that they are like 8-2 against them. I thought the Pistons might lose tonight because they were on a back-to-back and I thought the Lakers would try to capitalize on the Pistons still trying to get used to playing with AI, damn I was wrong. The Pistons look like they are gaining their chemistry. Prince and Sheed have been playing like Beasts these last few games getting used to playing with AI. Once that team starts clicking on all cylinders and Rip starts hitting his shots, that team has potential to be special. I actually think Prince could make the All-Star team this season if he keeps playing like this.
