Can we at least give SOME credit to Nellie too? Haven’t even heard his name mentioned, but HIS system of just letting guys play and doing the old run & gun was huge there too. Obviously, you need players or no amount of coaching helps. but 21 comments in and I haven’t even heard his name so I had to throw that out there.

You know who didn’t make the whole thing go? Marcus Williams.

@ corey, who the fuck are u, u obviously hasnt seen arroyo’s style of play, i aint saying he is an allstar but he could be a solid pg,i know a lot about international competition so shut the fuck up and go home. check arroyo’s stats when he was a started with the jazz? and at one point when he came to detroit ppl in espn were calling him the best backup pg,and if u want more evidence check his stats on international play, and what he averages agaisnt the best team in the world, team usa.

Not a big fan of Mullin. The one time I met him a handful of years ago, he was an inexplicable jerk.

Basically, if you are a GM who makes unwanted waves with the higher-ups in the organization, your bosses may/will can you. (See, e.g., Billy Knight formerly of the Hawks.) Play nice and you may stay (like Hawks coach Woodson).

In business, it usually doesn’t hurt to suck up a bit to your boss(es).

@ sans, i havent talked about arroyo in a while now, im just saying that the only teams that he could have succeeded in the nba were the golden state warriors and the knicks, given their style of play. even dime reckognized a few months ago that arroyo was being held back when he was playing with the magic

Where is Chris Cohan in all this mess? He’s the owner, and it’s his ultimate responsibility to right the ship. Fire Rowell if need be. They’re close to losing all the fans that came back to Oracle Arena the past couple years. If Cohan won’t do the right thing, it’s his money the team will be losing when fans stop showing up to games, buying merchandise, etc. I’ll always be a Warriors fan, but it’s hard to support a shitty team. We’re in a free fall right now and the people with the power to do anything about it are enabling/allowing it to happen.
