Tony Parker Has 50 and 10 In 2OT

Tony ParkerMade Fresh Daily

After Amare’s huge night in Indiana, Tony Parker decided to go off – not letting the Spurs leave Minnesota without a win tonight.

Currently in Double OT, T-Pizzle has 50 and 10 as the Spurs hope to escape with a victory.

UPDATE: The Spurs pulled out the W on the road. Parker finished with a video game-like 55 points (on 22-36 shooting, 2-3 from three, 9-10 from the line), 10 assists, seven rebounds and only four turnovers. Not bad.

  4. MaMba says:

Hope this shuts all the Tony Parker haters up. Tony Parker for MVP?

  5. A-Slam says:

tony parker went bananas, but roger mason is my man

  6. jackass says:

    wtf???? parker went absolutely nuts.

  7. Barak O'BLAMA says:

I just hope that Deron Williams doesn’t get snuffed from the all-star game again, cause that was bananas! NO HOMO!!!

  8. jl90 says:

amazing game, totally destroyed minny and took their heart out at the closing moments. but seriously, they need manu ginobili like right now. 2 OT to beat minnesota and having ur top players play extended minutes? might not have enough by playoff time if they have to continue carrying this team

  9. Dagomar says:

    Austin’s gonna be all over this . . . .

  10. Haqq says:

We’re missing the real story here…

    MINNESOTA TAKING SPURS TO OT?

    :|

  11. nick says:

glad i got him on my fantasy squad that’s all i gotta say.

  12. Reno says:

This is to be expected since Manu’s still out of commission and nobody else outside of Timmy and Roger Mason (of all people) is stepping up to provide the some offense. But still. 55 points. Wow, that is ridiculous.

  13. solomon says:

    people, that’s 55 points on just 2 triples… and 9 freebies…

    and he still managed 10 dimes… that’s wow…

    we’re out like raining 3′s to get 50 pts…

  14. Amar says:

that’s a great individual effort. second only to the amount of ‘one on none’ he was playing on his honeymoon when eva kept saying ‘not tonight, i have a headache’. that probably has more to do with the fact that he can go to double OT on the court, but in bed with her he always beats the 24 second clock.

  15. A$$Cube aka French Teammate says:

If only he could managed to be that lethal for our national team, we would have been to the Olympics. Now, we’re not even a sure thing for the upcoming EuroBasket…

  16. knoc says:

    lol @ 14 haterade much

  17. White Boy says:

Read the Presidential column where dime is racist….

123 has a point. Whats up with the racism dime???

The whole time you backed obama too, and killed mccain or palin.

Dont mind the backing, but accusing people of lying, then not mentioning when obama lies…

    why the racism???

    here is your boy lying…

The Chicago Sun reported on May 8, 2008 that FBI records showed that you had a significantly closer relationship with Tony Rezko than what you previously admitted. In the interview, you said that you only saw Mr. Rezko a couple of times a year. The FBI files showed that you saw him weekly While the issue of your relationship is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied
    to America about it.

    i got plenty more dime

  18. Conner says:

    @White Boy
Hey, why don’t you keep politics to the one political thread on this site.

On topic, I watched the entire game and Tony Parker was lights out. Possibly one of the best non-playoff performances I’ve ever seen. The man could not miss from anywhere on the floor and the T’Wolves could not adjust.

Parker willed his team to victory last night.

A bit of trivia, Parker set the record for the most points at the Target Center last night, the previous record was held by Shaq.

  19. rangerjohn says:

parker is also the second person ever to go for 55-10-7 the big O went for 56-12-9.

what sux, it too double overtime to beat the wolves. whats nice, getting a win!!! if roger mason continues to play well like he is (shooting 60% and 65% from 3!!!) then they will have it together when manu gets back, mason has more then filled brent barry’s shoes as the off the bench scoring punch.

now we just need to get mahinmi going, maybe try to pick up mcdyce and drop bonner and udoka in the dirt.

  20. Ansonious says:

Yeah lets not forget the magical number of minutes he played too, had STAT played in double ot trust that we wouldn’t be talking about Tonys magical night cause STAT would’ve put up more points, and probably would’ve had more assists too. Same goes with Lebron but Tony did it so CONGRATS

  21. doc says:

The frenchman put in work.No hate allowed for them numbers in a win.

  22. Diego says:

Dime, does your new fella still rate Baron Davis above Tony Parker in the current pg class?

  23. rangerjohn says:

TONY STILL HAD 42-9-5 at the end of regulation having played like 40 minutes. where as amare had 49-6-11 in 44 minutes. looks to be a pretty even match up if your comparing the numbers.

  24. Ross says:

Tony’s one of the best pointguards in the game.

  25. Amar says:

hey im jus’ playin. tp was damn good last night.

  26. Ian says:

ansonious please read post 23 hater
those stats are amazing even if they played 4 ot.

    austin deron who? lol

i said it before the season started parker will finish with the best numbers outta all pgs

now dime how many guards can score 50 on just 2 triples and 9 freebies? just one
like cwebb put it the best little big man in the game.

  27. Ian says:

ansonious one more thing parker doesnt have someone spoon feedin him the ball next to the rim for a dunk.

  28. doc says:

Ian he still aint fucking with D-Will dont get carried away.1 game dont prove or disprove shit, especially against Foye and Mcants. When he drop 50 on D-Will head bring hisname up.

  29. Ian says:

    hahaha doc please
dont give me he aint fucking with dwill

this is not the reason i have always said parker is better

parker doesnt need to bring his game up deron does u must be crazy

parker is a allstar and a finals mvp
    deron is what????

besides did i even talk to you didnt i write austin because he agrees on the parker over deron thing we have talked before.
pleaseeeeee having manu out is proving what i have always said that if parker was the first or second scoring option on a team his numbers would crush derons easy.

get back to me when your boy at least gets to the allstar game cuz finals mvp aint happening for now.

  30. Ian says:

who of the 3 pgs have the HOF resume almost full and is only 2 years older than the others?

LOL parker need to bring his name up not deron hahahahaha thas some funny shit.

like i said of the 3 pgs u can put it in any order u want hell u can even throw nash in there but dont come back with parker needs to bring his name up when hes the most accomplished one of the group by far.

  31. Amar says:

parker is a great guy, has rings, other awards, and is married to a hot wife. he’s backed up by jacques vaughn and damon stod. he better be putting up 50 points on the wolves, spurs gotta get some wins somehow . . .

  32. Amar says:

    . . . his rap album isn’t that great, but it’s better than kobe’s . . .

  33. rangerjohn says:

um sorry AMAR but mighty mouse is GONE GONE GONE!

and HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA at his rap being better then kobe’s lmao thats good shit

  34. rangerjohn says:

by the way what ever happened to artest doing his rap thing and taking off a year or so from basketball?

  35. Amar says:

I actually haven’t hear either of them rap (kobe or TP), so I’m just making shit up – - – call me peter vescey.

re: artest — he has taken a year off, he just breaks it up into two parts, last years playoffs (he wasn’t around), and probably this years too (he’s on houston now, no one shows up ‘cept tmac in the playoffs for the rockets)

  36. doc says:

U aint have to talk to me.I answered. He good and top 3 points and all but he aint fucking with D-WILL.His team 1-3 and your on here talking about Deron who.Tell TP he gotta step that shit up somemore because the only stat I judge pg’s by is wins and losses. And your confidence aint that high in that stat because you was on here yesterday talking about the Spurs going to the lottery without Manu(Foolish as that statement was). But Im not going back and forth with a man who tells me Matt Bonner is a good rotation guy.

  37. karizmatic says:

What y’all got to say now? Paul and Williams are still better? Add 3 rings to that performance. Paul and D-Will are the ones that have to catch up with Parker, not the other way around.

  38. karizmatic says:

Does Aron still think Rondo is better? lol.

  39. Ian says:

    hahahahah doc
u judge by wins and losses
    then gtfoh is parker easy

3 rings 2 allstar games finals mvp

    vs

    deron

    0 0 0

judge by wins and losses and say deron is better pleaseeeeeee
my rant yesterday was because how the spurs played u took all that seriously LOL

    awards parker
    wins and losses parker
so tell me how u say deron is better u r using a 1-3 to judge but not the other 6 seasons???????? way to make a point doc
u had nothing to defend deron with that u had to mention bonner and me being pissed after an 0-3 start
matt bonner comon hes a spur i gotta defend him what is wrong with you. u ok ?
u sound like the guy sitting alone in a bar hearing some friends talking sports and u decided to jump in when no one talked to u.

    karizmatic
u r right u have fools here talking about parker catching up to deron hahaha if he did that hes starting his career again.

  40. rangerjohn says:

sorry DOC but your “i only go by wins and losses” theory is a joke, if anything W/L’s are only good as an indicator for when your teams PG (or star) is in or out of the game. in the case of d-will and the jazz, they are 4-0 right now, but d-will has not played a game yet this season. he is out injured. so by YOUR math combined with realism, d-will WOULD HAVE TO BE LOWER by the shear W/L of his team with him out of the line up.

tony is head and shoulders above williams right now, he is IMO better then nash as well, better then kidd at kidds age (not in kidds prime or nash 2-3 yrs ago) and that puts him just behind paul.

  41. Conner says:

In the debate about Parker and Stoudamire. If you watched the whole game, the Wolves defense was half the reason he scored as much as he did. They never adjusted when he started hitting his shot.
Parker still had an incredible game, anytime you hit that many shots and still get 10 assists you deserve a ton of praise.
I didn’t watch the Suns last night, but I would guess that Amare possibly got doubled after he had scored 30. Parker wasn’t doubled all night.
