Trevor Ariza’s Monster Block on Stack
After Lil Wayne called Trevor Ariza “the secret weapon,” he didn’t let it go to his head. Helping to keep the Lakers undefeated, he served up this mean block late in the game on Jerry Stackhouse.
Besides Kobe, who’s the best defender on the Lakers?

Haha… I didn’t realize Kobe liked to play defense anymore.

Trevor Ariza is probably the best defender on the lakers period, Fisher was but he’s gotten slow. I’m with Izzy, Kobe only plays defense in the Olympics, he’s looking ok this season, Bynum is in there, he blocks a lot of shots. Go Lakers!

DJ Menba — He plays hard and playing hard should be a given. Unlike some players, Vince.

Bynum and Ariza are their most important defenders, but Kobe’s the best on the teamwhen he goes all out.

K Dizzle says:
what doc said, Ariza and AB are the steady, come in for the defense players, but Kobe is the “ok, he’s gettin loose so it’s time to clamp on him” defender
Trev and AB got an advantage cuz they can use up all their energy on the defensive end, gettin stops and creatin turnovers while Kobe gotta do that and still get 25+

Seriously tho, Dime. You need to post the baseline 2 hander Ariza threw down in the 4th. Sick

How can ANYBODY say Kobe doesnt play defense?? Doo is on the ALL NBA FIRST AND SECOND TEAM every year.. these must be the same knocs who say “Paul Pierce the best player in the NBA” and “Lebron is the clutchest player in the NBA”
Heres some dumb ass media hype.. Sportscenter said last night “the last player to have 40 points in the 4 of their first 8 games was Michael Jordan”.. Who gives a s$%t.. 40 in 8 games in a row is worthy of mentioning MJ but that was just for the sake of dickriding..
But Kobe’s the best defender followed by Ariza and then ill say Vujacic because his defense is plain annoying.. and if his D is annoying hes doing something right..
