What team is this?

Deron Williams is still out and Carlos Boozer (quad) is sidelined, but in the third quarter against the Bulls, the Jazz looked like world-beaters and something entirely different than what you’d expect from a Jerry Sloan-led group. Rolling with lineup of Ronnie Price, Ronnie Brewer, C.J. Miles, Paul Millsap and Memo, the Jazz were a running, gunning, high-flying Globetrotter-looking act that ran off what seemed like 10 straight transition dunks on the Bulls, and would have pulled away on the scoreboard if Larry Hughes wasn’t having a University of Saint Louis flashback. The highlight was a fast break where Price hit Miles with a cross-court bullet pass, then Miles flipped an alley-oop to Brewer, who got some LeBron-level height on his jump and threw it down. Maybe if Utah finishes with a high seed in the West despite all the early injuries, Sloan can finally cop that Coach of the Year trophy.

I loved how neither coach called timeout in that last stretch. They just went back and forth.

really bad hustle on CJ’s part . . . not boxing out larry on that last sequence . . . but let’s not forget on AK’s block on rose CJ sould have picked up the ball, but instead let it sail out of bounds — but still, hard to pull off a win with 5 of your top players out. (well, 4 at least, plus another warm body)
d. rose is amazing. this was a super duper game for him. much respect. so much respect that he got a really baaad d-wade type of call that fouled out millsap (21-10 in the game) for the last 90 seconds of the game.
as good as the jazz looked in the 3rd, they just died in the 4th. memo’s shooting like poop this season. can’t wait till we get healthy . . .

two observations:
1) How confident is DR? Takes last three shot of the game before hughes. Boy is ready.
2) How anticlimactic was that game winner? I mean I know you were in the other guys house but still. Nic, Gordon, and Rose walk away like he missed and Gooden just pats him on the head. Felt like it was a pickup game.
