Who is the best ballplayer to ever come out of your school?
Al Horford (photo. NBA)Is it too early to say Al Horford is (or will soon be) the greatest player to ever come out of the University of Florida? After last night’s 27-point, 17-rebound, 6-rejection domination of the Bulls and ex-UF teammate Joakim Noah, Horford has put a wide gap between himself and the rest of the Gators’ back-to-back NCAA championship squad (Noah, Corey Brewer, Taurean Green, etc.), and when you look at his alma mater’s basketball history — headlined by White Chocolate, Mike Miller, David Lee and Vernon Maxwell — Horford is on track to own the top spot if he keeps this up.
Who is the best ballplayer to come from your alma mater? Whether it’s college, high school, elementary, nail school, ITT Tech … who gets #1 status?
