DetroitBadBoys.com has some info that says the deal may have hit a snag because Antonio McDyess is “not happy at all” about the deal. We’re not really sure what, if anything, ‘Dyess can do to stop the deal, but word is that the Nuggets might buy him out. That would conceivably allow Antonio to re-sign with the Pistons after 30 days.

I bet the Nuggets weren’t happy when they signed McDyess and he got hurt and had to ride the bench.

The Pistons are about 8 years too late on the AI trade front. Too bad McDyess doesn’t have that trade kicker that Geiger had back in the day.

this doesn’t have anything to do with the Billups and Iverson trade not going down….all this says is that if it DOES go down, McDyess won’t be happy and will try to come back to the D.

I don’t think Antonio is going to pull the lever to kill this deal. He has a good chance of returning to a contender either way. I’m sure he just wants to phrase his contract correctly.
The AP ran with the inside story, so I’ll assume it’s a done deal. I mean, did Devean George squash the Kidd deal when all that noise was made about it.

Then again, I thought the Kobe to Chicago thing was a done deal last year.
