You Be The Judge
Did LeBron get this from the free throw line? Even if he didn’t, could he take off from the stripe and bang one in game?

Look at LBJ tryin’ to be James White…..kidding of course..
LBJ is ridiculous. I think he’s going to average somewhere around 35/8/8 this year.

That is the most amazing thing that I’ve ever seen on a basketball court.

Michorizo says:
is there really any doubt whatsoever that if he doesn’t get a major injury throughout this career (knock on wood) and Ferry manages to assemble a decent cast around him, LBJ will go down as the greatest player in NBA history???
November 12th, 2008 at 3:25 pm
turambur says:
Michorizo,
I’m as big a LeBron fan as there is (he is the reason that I became and NBA fan again after years of just not caring), but he needs a consistant jump shot and an automatic free throw (80%+) before there is zero doubt.
My money is that if he develops both of those things in the next 2-3 years he could take a good NCAA team to an NBA championship, considering what he’s done with some truely awful Cavs teams recently.

@ CGF– LBJ won’t join one, all he does is tomahawks, as nasty as they are he’s not creative enough and if he lost…

advocate says:
i was at the game last night, his heel was about an inch or two in front of the line but it was an insane dunk. definately not enough rap about in on tv (espn), they even showed the floor angle too. that definately doesn’t do it justice…what a game, what a talent,…unreal to watch. later fellas,…also, just in: LeBron is now 6′8”, 274 lbs….peace.
November 12th, 2008 at 3:48 pm
thomasmmm says:
lebron is more than 6′8″. and his dunk isn’t better than Eddie Jones’ near-freethrow dunk over Vin Baker. And 1 no call!

Speaking of James White…
Would you guys agree that James White is the best free-throw-line-dunker of all time?

@Kermit I think that 2H side to side dunk he did from the line is the best one I’ve seen by a lot, sure.
November 12th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
tealish says:
@post4: What dunk besides the tomahawk does Bron do? He will get straight 7’s across the board for every single dunk.
November 12th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
nick says:
damn
lebron could easily dunk from behind the free throw line. he easily still would have the elevation to do that dunk. he just makes it look easy.
November 12th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
Marci says:
Why did they change the fuckin’ camera angle?!
November 12th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
ERIC says:
Good looks on the .gif file j. LeBron is a freakish athlete at his size/agility/quickness. He could definitely throw one down from the FT line – just look how easy he glided to the hoop with room to spare.
@thomasmmm – great call on the Eddie Jones cram on VB. Back in ‘97 – that was a SICK throwdown.
And James White is DEF the best FT-line dunker of all-time. He does it all one-hand, two-hand, windmill, between the legs.
November 12th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
Mamba says:
That oop he caught in the game was effortless as well – LeBron is just dirty – best athlete in the NBA bar none,
The go ahead stuff Ariza had in the Lake show game was filthy as well,
Im sayin LeBron could go from behind the foul stripe if he wanted too,
November 12th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
MKE Slim says:
Eddie Jones took off from the stripe years ago against the bucks and dunked on andrew lang.

MJ says:
Is that the worst possible camera angle for that dunk or what?
Thanks, Cavs television. Your turd is in the mail.
November 12th, 2008 at 7:49 pm
otto says:
why do producers switch to that angle every time a player has a breakaway dunk. The only dunks that look better from the rear angle are the baseline ones. MJ over Ewing, Starks over Olajuwan, B-Diddy over AK47.
November 13th, 2008 at 9:54 am
MSkittle says:
True, Otto. Bad camera angle
November 13th, 2008 at 11:33 am
KanDman says:
Yeah the dunk was great and effortless, but notice how Bron Bron goes from half court with just one dribble, INSANE!!!
