    just amazing

  2. Taylor says:

    2nd…..

  3. Kudabeen says:

What’s more amazing is that this may be his best professional moment of his career so far…We are still waiting for him to be more aren’t we??

    It was the Wolves…

Can’t wait to see these Nuggets in the Playoffs. If they finish the year with 50 wins and exit in the playoffs, then what?

  4. Ediat says:

@ What are you talking about?? Kobes best proffesional moment in his career was 81 against TORONTO!! LeBrons best professional moment was 48 points on, 9 rebounds and 7 assists against the Pistons. Stars do what needs to be done

  5. thomasmmm says:

he should have scored 33 in each quarter. durant’s game looks a lot better than melo’s. must be the hair.

  6. King of the Hill says:

33 in the third? His new nickname is “The LP”.

  7. calvin brodus says:

NBA RECORD. Repeat…NBA RECORD. Kobe is the man for his 81. And Bron can drop 48 every game if he wants. But neither one of those is going in the record book. Melo had 33 IN ONE QUARTER. He and the Ice Man are the only people to put that much up in a quarter IN THE HISTORY OF THE LEAGUE. Ever. Not Jordan, Not Kobe, Not Bron. NBA RECORD. Haters.

  8. Kudabeen says:

    @Ediat

    Huh?

  9. MSkittle says:

I only counted 29. Did he hit free throw’s too?

  10. Ian says:

he went all iceman in that game but then again is the wolves.

why is everyone talkin about kobe here?

  11. San says:

    Melo is a beast!

  12. rlf says:

carmelo’s a great player. he just needs to get his act together and he could be as good as any top player in the league.

  13. dano says:

yeah thats great that melo has one record - points in a quarter- meanwhile, thats not even his own record. as you said, iceman did it too. Meanwhile, kobe has more records than melo can even imagine
threes in a game (12) tied with marshall (works under your guidelines)
    threes without a miss (9)
    threes in a half (8)
not to mention the 81 point game, 65 points in three quarters, countless 40+ and 50+ point games
and all the all star nods and NBA MVP to go along with those three championships
and hes also the youngest player to reach 15000 and 20000 career points. keep in mind that kobe has scored 30 points in a quarter. twice.
looks like kobe is all over the record books.
as for lebron, at least he can lead his team and win, which, in the end, is all that matters. i wonder what would happen if melo had LBJs supporting cast?

  14. weng santos says:

Why does Melo have to be better overall than Kobe or LeBron? He’s not either of them, so he just goota do his own thing.

Can’t he be just gawd-awful amazing for one quarter in his career without people hating on him for not being as good as Kobe or LeBron? He doesn’t even make the same money as those 2!

As was said, melo is a professional scorer. That doesn’t mean he’s gonna score more than anybody all the time, but he has the tools and the moves to score when necessary. He has hit an array of game-winners, leads his team in scoring, drops 33 in one quarter.

He doesn’t have to be better than Kobe or LeBron. He’s a scorer. Maybe that’s all he is, so judge him on that and let him be.
