(Almost) Daily Fantasy 12-21
CP just won you steals.Really CP? 34 points, 9 assists and 8 steals? I actually think that may top Jamal Crawford’s 50 points, 5 threes, and 5 dimes. Here are the other players that you need to know right now.
JR Smith - Don’t look now but JR Smith has now scored in double digits in 10 out of the last 11 games. Raise your hand if you actually trust him enough to start him though.
Kelenna Azubuike – Azubuike played 42 minutes last night, scored 21 points and grabbed 13 boards. He’s actually played very well all week but with Nellie at the helm, he really just can’t be trusted for anything but a week to week filler on your squad.
Aaron Brooks – 18 points, 10 boards, and 5 assists. This kid can play and would be a legit starter if Rafer was a complete non-factor. Being that Skip just has a hammy pull, the Brooks reign will end at some point. That being said, when the Rockets do become his squad (next year?) he’ll be an automatic own and most likely a third guard.
Boris Diaw – Last night the type of night that you should be able to expect out of Diaw – 11 points, 10 boards, and 6 dimes. The big scoring nights are a bonus. That really isn’t his game.
Marreese Speights – It isn’t everything we expected, but it’s Speights is showing his potential is certainly ownable right now. Big man had 12 points, 4 boards, and 4 blocks. He’s no Paul Millsap but it seems like few are!
Raja Bell – Bell scored 21 points last night, but it was his first time scoring double digits since December 9th. Watch list. Nothing more.

I just dumped Mike Miller. It sucked cause I drafted him midroundish thinking he would excel in Minnesota. My confidence is shot, tell me I did the right thing doc.

Someone offered my Chris Paul and Dalembert for Duncan and Rasheed Wallace, do I pull the trigger? I need FG%, FT% Blks and 3s not sure this trade gets me there though I could then afford to drop Alston or Westbrook and pick up another big. Thanks!

mules says:
Doc,
I’m about to drop Mike Miller too, I’m in an 8 team / daily line up league with only two bench spots so my team can’t really deal with injuries very well and there’s a decent chance he’ll still be available when he gets back on the court anyway. That being said, who would you pick up for a 1 or 2 week fill-in? Larry Hughes, Matt Barnes, Posey, Eric Gordon, J.R. Smith, Luol Deng, C.J. Watson, Ronnie Brewer, Francisco Garcia, Azubuike, and Rudy Fernandez are all available.

The Fantasy Doctor says:
chuck – Nope.
Citizen B – Depends how many teams in the league. Few guys have that three point ability. I agree he’s been a huge dissapointment.
Joe – No.
mules – Luol Deng.

yeah i had cp and jcrawford going last night. that was a definately a bonus in the scoring and steals categories…anyway, any news of blatche about staying in the lineup permanantly? what about stuckey, he’s been playing pretty good ball lately and iverson (is he going to turn it back up into a top 20-25 guy or stay around the 70-90 mark?
doc, also i was wondering whether you have heard anything on mike dunleavy?

Hey Doc,
I have been offered Boozer for Marion.
I currently have marion, i really need a guy like marion 2006, steals and blocks and a bit of everything.
Is it better to take boozer or stick with marion 2008…

Thanks for the Diaw advice, Doc.
Unrelated Sidenote: Why is Jordan Farmar on an Adidas add? (I’m looking at one of the brotherhood adds with him on it while I’m typing this) I was under the impression that you had to have some sort of impact on your team before you begin pushing second-rate footwear. If it’s good enough for Steph…

toWhomitmayConcern – It’s either Blatche or McGee at this point. Blatche’s job to lose (that definitely doesn’t mean he won’t lose it). Stuckey looks like the sleeper most thought he’d be right now. He’s not a top 25 guy this season though. Dunleavy is back practicing part time but they have to see how he responds. We’re still talking weeks.
BrickLayer – I think you need to wait and see the results of Boozers MRI before you even think about it.
kg fan – It’s a rolled ankle so you never know. You should own EG though.
Money Mike – Farmar is an adidas guy evidently. The ads are for a new line of NBA fan gear and evidently he’s modelling the Lakers hoodie (which I like but could never wear anything Lakers).

I may have done the dumbest thing in the world…. leading my league in assists and having a log jam in both guard spots, I traded away T-Mac and Nelson for Bynum and Q-Rich.

Doc,
I was offered Joe Johnson and Kenyon Martin (his) for my Rudy Gay and David West. Would you pull the trigger, also do you think it makes sense to drop Dunleavy or should I hold out expecting good things from him when he returns?
