(Almost) Daily Fantasy
Friday nights equal stats, stats, and more stats in the NBA. Here we go.
Jameer Nelson – It’s always nice to see a player come back from injury and be on the same hot streak he was on when he got hurt. Jameericle returned to the starting five last night and had 15 points, 3 threes, 7 dimes, and 4 steals. Nice line… even though he was probably on your bench.
Keith Bogans – Bogans also returned to the active roster, played more minutes than the starting Redick, and could be starting and playing 30 plus very quickly. Worth keeping an eye on.
Jermaine O’Neal – JO has played two games since returning from injury and played 19 minutes in one game and 20 in last nights. It’s worrisome and frustrating for owners who risked JO, but it’s probably a smart move. You’d much rather have a full season of JO averaging 25 to 30 minutes than half a season of 35 to 40 minutes.
Paul Millsap – Can we all agree – Millsap is the man. Somehow the man needs his minutes. His fantasy potential is crazy. He had 17, 11, and 7 last night. Boozer is close to returning, but the run has been awesome.
Andray Blatche – So much potential. Blatche went for 18 and 12 last night but is dramatically inconsistent and until he grows up, probably isn’t worth owning.
Al Harrington – Harrington owners should be loving this. Al had 27 and 7 last night and took a crazy 12 threes (he made three… And didn’t take the one three he should have at the end of the game).
Kevin Love – Well that wasn’t exactly how we planned Kevin Love’s first start would go. Love played 25 minutes and scored 6 points and grabbed 5 boards. At some point he’ll be a starting fantasy forward. Might not be this season.
Yi Jianlian – Yi did what he does and followed up a 4 point performance with 16 points, 4 threes and 5 boards. The kid can play and I really think will eventually be a consistent fantasy player. He’s still a 4th forward right now.
Marc Gasol - Uh oh. Gasol was benched last night and did the same thing off the bench that he’s done in the starting lineup lately – not much. Don’t cut him yet.
Kelenna Azubuike – Start him this week? Own him? You’ve been Nellied. Five minutes last night.
Anderson Varejao – It was Varejao night in Cleveland and Anderson responded by having 17 and 7, including some legit jumpers. He’s actually been on the cusp of owning all year and having a big season for Cleveland. He doesn’t have value right now, but it wouldn’t take much for him to.
Ramon Sessions – Are you serious Scott Skiles? 3 points? 2 dimes? SIX MINUTES? Don’t cut him yet, but the time is close.
Von Wafer – You ever heard the Von Wafer stories? Supposedly when he was on the Lakers and Nuggets he used to KILL it in practice. He would kill it in the summer leagues. Kill it in the D-League. Then the lights would go on and 20,000 fans would pack an NBA arena and Wafer would be an entirely different player. Now a Rocket, Wafer came off the bench for 18 last night. He’s still only 23 years old. Don’t pick him up, but anything’s possible and who knows what happens with T-Mac this season.

Doc,
I have a few issues which need some attention.
Sam Dalembert has done next to nothing for me this season and I have been meaning to drop him for Millsap, but with Boozer coming back I’m not sure about it. Any tips?
I want to get Jameer but the people I can (or wish I could) drop are Bargnani, Barbosa and Mike Miller. Pick Jameer up?
Finally, I was offered Rip and Tyson Chandler for Dev Harris, I wan’t to keep Dev so I’m more on the declining side of the fence, any benefits in the trade?
If this helps here is my lineup:
PG: Dev Harris
SG: D-Wade
G: Andre Iguodala
SF: Danny Granger
PF: David West
F: Zach Randolph
C: Dalembert (Ughh!)
C: Nene
Util: Barbosa
Util: Raymond Felton
BN: Mike Miller
BN: Andrea Bargnani
BN: LaMarcus Aldridge
You workin’ overtime today! Thanks for the help. (and sorry about the amount of requests, I hope there’s not a limit)

hey Doc…
Im not entirely happy with Tyson Chandler thus far…I’m thinking of picking up Brook Lopez….not sure if i should drop Chandler or try and trade him. My other centers are Jermaine O Neal and Duncan. I would like a little more points and rebounds….so far it looks like Lopez is getting just as many blocks, scoring a little more, and getting even rebounds…

Got offered two trades by the same owner in my keeper league. He wants one of my six keepers Granger and in two seperate trades he has offered me Gasol(his keeper) and Andre Miller or Gasol and jamal crawford. Should I bite on either one of them?
