Charlotte To Ship Boris Diaw Off to New York?
DiawMaybe there was some rationale behind the Bobcats decision to get Boris Diaw, Raja Bell and Sean Singletary from Phoenix.
What are the chances of Boris Diaw ending up in New York and reunited with Mike D’Antoni? Before yesterday, not very good. But now, you could see a scenario – perhaps one that would include David Lee being shipped out – where Diaw is wearing a Knicks uniform.
Right now this sounds like pure speculation, but it does make sense. Diaw is already one of Mike D’Antoni‘s favorite players. If you’ve ever read “7 Seconds Or Less” about D’Antoni’s offensive philosophy, you’d know that it’s basically an open love letter to Diaw. It talks about how Boris is perfect for his system because he’s such a talented passer.
The love is reciprocal too. D’Antoni is definitely Diaw’s favorite coach.
“It definitely wasn’t as fun. It wasn’t as exciting for the fans. It’s not as fun for everybody (on the team). I’ll always remember Phoenix with Mike (D’Antoni). We went from a winning team that was the most exciting team in the league to a half-winning team that wasn’t exciting at all.”
It doesn’t matter what the personnel move is, there’s always a tie-in to the Knicks nowadays.

JCARR says:
Of course diaw would want to go to NYC, BUT for Lee?
No way, as much as i dislike the knicks i wouldnt want to see Lee leave NY. For the knicks that would be equivalent to a failed heart transplant, as he is the heart of the team.

he is a dueche because he has his head still so far up porn stache’s ass he can taste last nights dinner. i have always disliked dantoni and all the love he gets is annoying, he is a terrible coach. his “”system” is not a system, its called “let them just go play while i stand on the sidelines and look like someone just peed in my weaties”
boris is not so much a bad guy, but his love for the stache is causing him to show duechebaggery at the moment

No. It IS pure speculation. I’m all for debates and discussion starters, but this is a non-non-non story.

@it ain’t easy
There is absoltely no truth to this. It was some NY newspaper writer’s idea and he came up with the idea after Diaw said he liked playing for Mike D.
That said, Diaw put up 14, 6, 6 when Amare was injured. While Lee is a real low post presnce Diaw is a more talented basketball player who brings outside shooting, passing and rebounds.
The clincher will be Diaw’s relationship with Brown. If Diaw and Brown don’t click the Knicks could probably get Diaw for Marbury (nothing).

Lee is better than Diaw and has potential to be a guy who averages 15,10,5

@rangerjohn HiS SYSTEM IS NOT A SYSTEM? HOW DO YOU KNOW? have you seen his playbook? Yeah, he’s a terrible coach so everybody wants to play in his system
). So because he’s a terrible coach he has the Knicks at 8-10 with that roster.

Knicks are tanking for Stephen Curry, and I’m wishing like hell this deal will go through, I just added Diaw off the waiver list after he was traded to CHA, but if he gets shipped to NY, more $.
