Christmas Day Reader Live-Blog
Kobe ClausBy the time that you’re done unwrapping presents and playing against your brand new Ben Wallace Inflatable Defender, you should be settling into today’s ridiculous docket of games.
For the first time all year, the entire world has off from work and pretty much everyone has access to every single NBA game – as long as you have cable. So we wanted to give all of our readers a spot where you guys can live-blog all of the action right before your eyes as it’s going on. We’ll be on as well, as we force our families to flip “It’s A Wonderful Life” off – even though everyone’s seen it 37 times – so that we can enjoy CP3, Dwight, Duncan, Nash, Amare, Manu, LeBron, Caron, Kobe, Pierce, KG, Brandon Roy, Dirk, and a bunch of other bona fide stars in action.
As we said in Smack, hit us up with all of your analysis/insight/commentary in the comments section below…

I am way more excited about the games on today then I am about Christmas…I don’t know what that says about my life right now…
I feel asleep on the couch watching replays of the finals and left my girl in bed on Christmas night…I am smooth…

plain ass whooping for the magic.
NO is CP3 (shooting a lot) and no one else showing up.
If Orlando 2nd unit produces that much against other rivals Orlando will be a serious threat in the East.
Howard? A beast
Gortat? Freaking scary dude, in the line of Robert “Englund” swift and Jay Reno.

By the way, does anyone think these are some weak dunk contestants to vote on? I’m not really incredibly impressed by any of those three guys, I’d rather have Iguodala or Josh Smith in there.

wassup errybody! merry xmas…and by the way. i’m feelin’ a bit old today b/c today is my 30th birhtday (jesus & i are brothers, seriously…my mother’s name is mary)… looking back at it, being 30 in conjunction with staying up until 3am and drinking a shit-ton of woodford reserve (the best bourbon ever) may have not been the greatest idea i’ve ever had. anyway, i posted to see if anyone saw shaq’s 2 nice moves in the post at the beginning of the suns/spurs game..the first one was the spin with a little finger-roll and the second one was the reverse dunk on duncan (not really on duncan, but duncan was guarding him)…shaq’s ballin’ and i think the suns will actually make it to at least the western conference finals, maybe even the finals…holla back biotches, merry xmas…oh yeah, i got seats to pacers vs raptors (january in indy), pacers vs cavs (february in indy), and grizzlies vs celtics (march in memphis)….they are ALL lower level seats…just braggin’ and makin’ y’all crackaz and ho’s jealous…

roger mason jr, i was not real happy when they signed him, he played point and could not pass, i have seen though, that the man has other talents!!!!!!!!
duncan had anice game, parker had a nice game, manu though, is not 100% im afraid. he just needs to step it up i think, if he can get his game going, the spurs will not be beat.

Duncan was a BEAST on the boards in the 4th quarter, his hands were everywhere. He’s the reason they were in it in addition to his defense on Stoudemire

Ian says:
ranger
what u didnt like the mason signing?????
austin
duncan proved in the 4th why u picked him to get that clutch board he got like 4 boards with the whole suns team going for the ball. and poor amare went a duncan with 5 fouls like 6 straight time and couldnt get shit.
i hate the lakers but i hope someone slaps kg today

ian, when they signed mason, i expected (as did most) for him to be the back up point guard. looking at him as a point, he SUX, as a 2 guard he is very nice. this is the reason i didnt like it.
i have liked his play all season. and duncan showed once again why he is the best PF in the game.
i LOLed when magic johnson said garnet was the best all around player in the game. i mean really? garnett? he is a great player, but best in the league? really? nope!!!! gotta disagree. jon barry had it right, garnett is a very good COMPLEMENTARY PLAYER.

NO dropped the ball. No way this should’ve been a rout. Can you say statement game NO? Damn! They’ll get it back together. ‘Twas one of dem dayz…I guess.
Suns dropped the ball. They deserved to lose. No way Spurs were in that game.
Celts dropped the ball.
I’m only surprised at the latter. They couldn’t muster nothing in the 4th? Why did they stop going to KG when he started off like 9 for 9? Why Ray Allen always so damn mad when someone misses an assignment? Half the time I saw HIM who was 2 seconds too late on a Kobe J.
Washington better pull off the upset. LOL
And Oden better have a 20-10 in his 22 minutes or so.
Or I’m no longer an NBA fan.
Sike nah, I hope these last two are competitive to the wire though…

@Ranger,
I am not under the impression that most Spurs fans thought Mason would backup Tony, he came in to replace Bones Barry as an outside shooter and playmaker…
Pop even said in the Summer that George Hill should be immediately effective, basically handing him the backup PG role then.
Although he is a serviceable backup in case Pop’s guy “Thrill” Hill didn’t work out and Jacque Vaughn’s corpse lost its hustle.
. . . . . . .
Man the Wiz choked pretty badly, good close-out for Cleveland!
Also, why in the hell are dudes (Brandon Roy, et al) puttin’ “lines” in their head again? I thought that fad died back in like ’89 or ’90 with Vanilla Ice. Are these guys going to the Drew Gooden School of Fashion or somethin’ bringing back the 80′s crap?
Next thing ya know dudes are gonna be wearing the De la Soul neon green/pink/yellow wildin’ ass jumpsuits and havin’ the Box Fade thing (Kid N Play style!), wearing jeans backwards like Kris Kross…I could go on
