Cleveland State Upsets Syracuse
Making their first appearance at the Carrier Dome since upsetting Indiana and St. Joe’s in the first two rounds of the 1986 NCAA tournament, Cleveland State got it done in Syracuse once again. Taking an inbounds pass from J’Nathan Bullock with 2.2 seconds left, Cedric Jackson turned and swished a two-handed, 60-foot shot at the buzzer to give the Vikings a shocking 72-69 victory over The Orange.
