Clippers Sign Fred Jones

Back in November we asked the question: “Where are You Fred Jones?” After run with the Pacers, Blazers, Raptors and Knicks, Jones started this season without an NBA job. His exile officially came to an end today when it was announced that he’s signed with the Clippers.

There isn’t much Jones will be able to do to help the 8-21 Clippers, but when your season is over this early in the schedule, why not roll the dice and take chances on available guys?

Of course you (Fred) take the worst job possible and try to make the most out of it. Its never good to add a
“Clipper player” in your resumee, just ask Baron Davis. Baron is nowhere near an All star player he was last year or beating a Dirk-less Mavs team. This guy is “bad porn” too ala Maggate…

    8 points on 3-8 shooting

I was looking at the box scores and I saw Fred Jones… huh?

The only thing I remember about Fred Jones was that he was in the dunk contest for a year or maybe two. And he got a lot of PT with Indiana the year of the Brawl. I picked him up for my fantasy squad because he had a couple of 30 point games….then dude would go 3-8 shooting for 8 points.

For some reason, he reminds me of Jamal Crawford. A little shorter, a little slower, not as good of a jumpshot, and less handles. But still…for some reason…

According to the picture above though, dude DOES have a lot of kicks.

Dime you have polluted my opinion of Fred forever, I used to root for him and thought he seemed like a cool guy, but ever since the Apple store youtube highlight debacle I can’t look at guy in the same light!
