Even though his boy Stevie Franchise might now be back in action, Cuttino Mobley’s career could very well come to an end by the week’s close. It turns out that the heart condition that almost prevented the Zach Randolph trade from going through is more serious than some people imagined.
Cuttino Mobley is strongly mulling a medical retirement because of an enlarged heart condition and could make the announcement tomorrow, according to a person familiar with the situation.
According to the source, Mobley helped initiate the extra testing following his failed physical. “He’s not really focused on basketball, his main concern is his health,” the source said.
Hopefully everything turns up well for Mobley, a genuinely good dude. And with the current state of affairs in New York, he definitely should do what’s best for him and his family.

Cat should take note of some of the recent heart failure related deaths in pro sports and step away while he still can.
He’s made enough to live a good life and he should do that instead of risking dropping dead on the court.
Sad news about Rodney. They guy was just getting used to living a normal life and then this happens.

Cutino “Cat” Mobley was my dude back in RI and H-town. He was a jacker along with Franchise but still he was legit threat and had one the quickest first steps in the leauge
I hope he can continue to play but if not, I wish him well.
On another note, since we’re talking about heart maybe he can donate some of his to Tim Thomas, Eddy Curry, and Jerome James.
They clearly lack heart
