Short Like Leprechauns

Kevin GarnettKevin Garnett

Bold prediction: When we drop our updated NBA Hit List power ranking next week, the Celtics will vault the Lakers for the #1 spot. Given the events of this week and what we saw last night, you can see where we’re coming from … Overcoming one of Kobe’s off nights (5-for-17 FG’s, 23 pts), L.A. was headed for a ho-hum win in Washington until Caron Butler went nuts in the fourth quarter. Locking down Kobe on one end (except for that icy Mamba banker with 25 seconds left) and getting tough buckets on the other, Caron (26 pts, 9 rebs, 3 stls) had the Wizards down two with 14 ticks left. After Kobe missed a free throw, Caron got off a good-looking three over Trevor Ariza at the buzzer, but missed. You could say Caron milked the clock too much, but as he said in the post-game, you don’t want to let Kobe get the ball back if you can help it … It’s not the end of the world and they’re still 16-2, but the close call had to scare the L.A. fans who are already handing their team the Larry O’Brien. We don’t care if Ed “Obama” Tapscott gives the greatest locker room speeches in the world, any team that starts The Other Dee Brown at PG shouldn’t be hanging around like that against a team with the Lakers’ talent … Kobe’s off-the-glass pass to himself followed by the mid-air pass to Pau Gasol was filthy. The backwards double-clutch dunk on the break was nice, too … The Celtics, meanwhile, had no trouble running Portland off the court, slapping on that championship-level defense and turning it into transition buckets and wide-open jumpers. Doc Rivers was resting the starters in the third quarter, but a late Blazers run forced them back in for a minute to close it out … Unless we missed it, there was no beefing between KG (14 pts, 11 rebs) and rival Joel Przybilla, but Garnett had his own issues with Big Baby. After getting some tough love from KG when the C’s backups got worked over in the aforementioned Portland run, Baby had a meltdown on the bench and was literally crying and screaming at people … Coming off our Yao Ming vs. Dwight Howard debate, both guys had dream matchups to help prove their case for who’s better. As usual, the Warriors had nothing for Yao, who torched them for 33 points and 14 boards and fouled out Ronny Turiaf in the span of what seemed like five minutes (it was actually 23 minutes). Dwight had the Thunder on his menu, who last month fell victim to his first triple-double (30 pts, 19 rebs, 10 blks). This time he finished with 21 points, 23 boards and six blocks …

LeBronLeBron James (photo. Mannion)

Hopefully you didn’t tune in to Cavs/Pacers to see LeBron and Danny Granger give each other buckets, ’cause what you got was a lot less Bird/’Nique and a lot more Artest/Bowen. LeBron — who said he would dedicate this game to defense since Granger is the key to everything Indiana does — only scored 11 points, but held Granger to just four. And like ‘Bron said, the Pacers had NOTHING else, failing to crack 75 points … Anderson Varejao Hair Night was cute, but seeing an arena full of people looking like Carrot Top was something out of a nightmare … Donyell Marshall? Really? With Elton Brand out, Mo Cheeks went deep into the cupboard and dusted off Donyell against the Pistons, and not only was he on the court in crunch time, he hit the game-winner. On a pick-and-pop that didn’t have one bit of “pick” in it, Donyell nailed a three over a stunned Rip Hamilton with 35 seconds left. Guarding Donyell on a switch, it was like Rip saw him get the ball and thought, “No way he’s shooting this,” and hesitated before stepping up … Somewhere, Sam Mitchell feels a little better. The Raptors looked awful (again) in interim coach Jay Triano’s debut, a national TV piecing at the hands of the Jazz. We’re not sure which looked worse, the defense or the offense. The Jazz were simply running their usual stuff and getting whatever shot they wanted on the Raptors, who also committed 23 turnovers and weren’t hitting their threes. In Toronto’s defense, they’ve only had one practice with Triano … If you saw Matt Harpring (14 pts) hobbling around wincing and grimacing, his knees and ankles and back shot to hell, and wondered why he keeps going, perhaps you saw Raptors’ rookie Nathan Jawai on the bench. Jawai hasn’t been able to play this year due to a heart condition doctors discovered over the summer, and last night he looked absolutely miserable sitting there with nothing to do. If you’re Harpring, you’d rather be on the floor with your body breaking down on you than in Jawai’s seat, facing the possibility of never playing again. But if you truly love this game, you already knew that … We’re out like Big Baby’s maturity …

hey dime, dont hate on big baby, KG is one scary dude! hell, my kid brother cries after a KG dunk or a Blocked shot (y’all know what i mean, when he whips out the Obscenities!!!)

  2. John says:

The Warriors needs to start playing D … 130 points every game now ??

  3. P.C. Peace says:

oh n by the way, that pic further hammers home my point !! lol

  4. smity far away says:

before reading any smack- that picture is a surprise…a scary one…

  5. smity far away says:

i laughed out loud when the camera cut over to turiaf going to and then sitting on the bench while the graphic of how many minutes he played came up on the screen.

I also shook my head and smiled when i thought about how much damage dwight did to durant and them while looking over the box score. 6 blocks is mean…but not really.

i also feel sorry for maggette cause he must be living in his own little/big world and in that world it’s the law to take it all the way on fast breaks when you have numbers or when you don’t have numbers. it’s also the law to shoot all the time and pass only when you feel like surpising smity (watching the game on tv) with a pass. Little does corey know that his world, however big or small it is, is part of a bigger world that has teammates of his that are capable scorers and whatnot…but he just doesnt know and for that i pity him.
and i pity myself for pitying him. and mr. t pities the fool (or does he still?)

but on another note it is fun as hell watching stephen jackson seem to (outright) refuse 2 passes in a row to a wide open maggette for the sake of shooting contested threes (one an airball and the other a pull up from damn near half court that went in).

and Don nelson must have just said “f it.” (probably like a year ago…)

    @ Three Stacks
    good kobe post

smh at detroit losing to philly without brand.

anthony randolph is gon be real good real soon if he stays level headed.

  6. P.C. Peace says:

halloween needs one of those “KG in the box” things for bad kids … scare the sh** outta ‘em

  7. Flying_Aussie_Dutchman says:

Funny part in the Boston-Portland game: Sergio Rodriguez was arguing with the ref, then as he walked away he and KG bumped into each other, KG stared him down. Sergio couldnt of given a shit.

BTW, Piston fan here. This season is gonna be a longgg one. THANKS IVERSON >:(

  8. dmitry of jersey says:

another example that shows kobe is overrated. slap a premier individual defender or team defense on him and he’s almost guaranteed for a 7-25 night.
no shaq no ring for kobe, period.

  9. it aint easy being green says:

so much for brandon roy gettin some get back, huh dime??

  10. it aint easy being green says:

and i couldnt agree more with dmitry

  11. Young lebron 23 says:

    @8 YES! KOBE IS OVERRATED!
DID YOU SEE LEBRON LOCK DANNY GRANGER DOWN?
BIG BABY IS A BIG BITCH!

  12. Three Stacks says:

    @ smity – Thank you.

@ dmitry – One bad game against a good defender which his team wins, and that’s evidence he’s overrated? I don’t mind if you think he’s overrated, but come at it with something more convincing than that.

  13. Smitty313 says:

Kobe overrated. Do you know how many premier defenders Kobe has destroyed over the years. ALL OF THE! Dmitry you are stupid. I don’t think Caron locked him up last night. He was just off. And still went for 25 and the go ahead buckets.

  14. Smitty313 says:

    I meant ALL of THEM!

  15. Three Stacks says:

Y’all make it sound like the great majority of fans go around saying Kobe is the greatest of all time, which is absolutely not true.

The great majority of fans argue that Kobe is one of the best players in the NBA, which I don’t is a stretch at all. The only way he’s overrated is if you don’t think he’s one of the 3 best players in the game right now, and you’re probably an idiot if you don’t think that.

  16. Smitty313 says:

Besides Kobe, Lebron is the only person who would have taken the Smush Parker, Kwame Brown Lakers to the playoffs. How is he not in the top three in the NBA. D-Wade will probably miss the playoffs this year. Yall actin like your boy is fallin off because his stats are down. He’s shooting probably the best percentage he’s ever shot, playing less minutes, and taking less shots. Kobe is letting his teammates shine.

  17. Flying_Aussie_Dutchman says:

BTW, Nathan Jawai was a beast in the National Basketball League in Australia

  18. Dagomar says:

The Celtics game summed up every reason I like KG. The intensity, getting in the face of his teammates, then coming back out in the fourth to get it done. Gotta love the guy, even if he can be a bit over the top.

The Raptors suck and I don’t know why they’re this bad. The Canadian TV broadcast had an interview with Colangelo as the game started getting out of hand and it was painfully awkward as the score started getting ugly and Colangelo had to yell over the crowd. Almost as painful as the Raps having energy and playing well only for the first five minutes of the game. Sure, the team has holes. But with the talent out there the Raps should at least be competitive. A three-man big guy rotation of Bosh, O’Neal and Bargnani should be killer inside and out. What’s going on here?

    its yao mings transformer toy.

some of the comments are priceless.

  20. Chaos says:

i dont think KG is gonna let anyone get in revenge on him this year, so sorry brandon roy. its a rarity to see a champioinship come out the nxt season and play the same but they are not only playing with just as much (if not more) intensity but they are playing together better…imma need big baby to stop crying like a bitch…

and as far as kobe goes, he realizes he doesnt have to do as much work now as he did two years ago, but i am guessing he will start killing after the all-star break…

and did anyone see Vince get dunked on by kevin love….KEVIN F***ING LOVE…its like eddy curry beating devin harris in a full court sprint

  21. Luigi says:

Kobe Bryant was really forcin up shots he normally makes over Caron but he missed them. and when Caron went “Fuck this. i wanna win” mode. he went crazy. i hope the wizards play like this the rest of the year the way they played the 4th quarter because if they did. we’d get outta the 3-14 hole faster.

    WE NEED U BACK GIL!

  22. Luigi says:

oh and the Wizards are the best…..BAD team in the NBA right now.

Man that game winner from Donyell was like the knife scene in Saving Private Ryan. Anybody who saw the movie knows Exactly what I mean.

  24. vinny says:

you look in the boxscore this morning and you see Al Harrington had 27 on 12 for 25 shooting- and you think not a bad game.
The knicks take the ball out with about 7 seconds left and down 3. He gets the inbound pass and he’s open above the 3 pt line straightaway-and he drives to the basket-he’s fucking wide open!!! then he gets to the bucket and throws it back out to duhon who cant get a shot off and the ball comes back to al and he has to force up a contested 3. WTF?????Scared to take the last shot-at least Caron wanted to take that last shot aganist the lakers.
Fucking Knicks-thank you for allowing me to vent!

  25. douchebag says:

KG is a douchebag. his act has got to go. he can play but if i was big baby, i woulda stuck him in his shit. you can’t talk to no grown man like that on national tv. yea, big baby shouldn’t be cryin either but someone needs to knock kg out a la rudy t.

  26. Amar says:

Big Baby was a mess, but then again, when interviewed by Chris Bosh (for Leno) in the finals last year he let slip that he watches Sex in the City. so yeah . . .

Utah looks crappy and then they look good. Top level teams should be a bit more consistent . . . I guess it’s easy to look good in a game when you finally are getting people healthy though. Utah straight up worked Toronto’s big front line without Carlos Boozer. Imagine what they would have done with Boozer in the game?

Brewer had a nice two hand put-back and CJ had his regular “how did this guy end up dunking on me” jam during the game. Best dunk of the night was Joey Graham absolutely brutalizing a slowly rotating Mehmet Okur. It was a genocide level dunk.

Props to Harpring making layups, as a long suffering Jazz fan (since ‘87) I’ve seen countless games where Harpring gets all the same passes like he got last night, but would rather bobble the ball out of bounds or miss point blank layups instead of actually scoring. He must have popped a few viagra before the game or something.

  27. Ross says:

    Big Baby crying?

  28. baron von faulk says:

Wow, Big Baby is such a…big baby

Saw him crying like someone stole his lunchbox on SC last night, pitiful

  29. Celts Fan says:

Anyone saying Kobe’s overrated is dumb (unless you think everyone’s trying to say he’s up there w/ MJ, which that talk is no officially dead forever.) Ya, his #s are down, but that’s what happens when you’re on a good team with other good players. Share the ball, bust your ass on defense, don’t worry about your shots, and play til June. KG, Ray, and Paul’s #s all dropped the past 2 years, but it doesn’t matter. Winning means everything. If you’re on the 2nd best team in the NBA (by record, not trying to start a big thing here) and you’re the best player on that team. You’re not over-rated.

On KG, there’s nothing wrong w/ running your mouth. If he ever truly crossed the line, he’d get T’d up much more. He gets as close to that line as possible, but most of the stuff you guys are talking about happen right in front of the refs. It’s not the most tasteful thing in the world, but I’d rather intimidate people and win than be a classy loser. Anyone w/ half a pair knows KG’s not really gonna do anything. You see Sergio last night? He just pushed right by him and ignored him with a smirk on his face. If you’re mentally strong, it’s just funny to watch, if you’re soft inside, he’ll get in your head. Again, I’d rather win than be a classy loser.

I was at the game but was too busy watching the actual game to see Big Baby. Gotta bust out the Tivo and check that out. Crying like a bitch, really? too funny. I guess that just made the long-term, “do we keep Leon or Baby, cuz 1 has to go?” decision.

oh, and Rondo casually put up 15, 8, 7, and 2 while pestering the Blazers PGs all night and pacing the team w/ the best record in the NBA. LOVE that man…

  30. baron von faulk says:

“On KG, there’s nothing wrong w/ running your mouth. If he ever truly crossed the line, he’d get T’d up much more.”

ugh, please fella, he should get T’d up MUCH more but gets the superstar treatment, and I think you know this.

Most players are allowed an intermittent “Bullshit!” from time to time but KG is all “muthafucka this, muthafucka that”, straight obscene all game long. It’s quite juvenile actually. Didn’t he yell “Yeah muthafuckas!” after winning the ‘chip? Oh now that’s classy, kids everywhere are calling each other motherfuckers now.

Whatever happened to sports figures like Barry Sanders, whom after a touchdown would hand the ball to the ref and go back to the sideline instead of doing some preposterous endzone celebration. Yeah, yeah I know, it’s supposed to be entertainment, whatever.

“Again, I’d rather win than be a classy loser.”

Which is what your boy Ray Allen used to be until he made out a like a bandit getting’ traded to the C’s, he would agree with that sentiment.

  31. Celts Fan says:

Ray still is classy, don’t know where you got that he wasn’t.

yes, KG swears a lot, but he does it while walking away. I’m talking about when he’s up in guys faces and shit. Everyone knows he swears CONSTANTLY during the game. I was talking more about the shit when he’s up in guys faces trying to intimidate. He’d get more Ts for that if he was really crossing the line. Again, not classy, but not against the rules. That’s all.

and the Barry Sanders of the world stopped just handing the ball to the ref the second everyone realized that the more you make a spectacle of yourself, the more you get noticed, the more endorsements and shit you get. It’s simple business. It’s unfortunate, but it is what it is.

I have no problem with what the Celtics (really just KG) do. Now what my football team did all year last year was embarrassing as fuck for the entire fanbase (outside of Southy anyway!) The Pats just shat all over the general rules of good sportsmanship. Karma’s a motherfucker and we got what we deserved…

  32. Celts Fan says:

*and no, I couldn’t've written that last sentence w/out ‘01, ‘03, and ‘04, the same way I’m sure Lakers fans are annoyed about the Pistons loss, but would still be PISSED if it weren’t for the 3 before it.

  33. JCARR says:

D-HOWARD WOW!… big baby having a meltdown lol.
What happen to the knicks they (harrington) blew apotential buzzer beater win.

And when they showed nate robinson on the bike warming up, it was like he could barely reach the pedals. haha

  34. rell says:

    @Celts Fan
I didn’t even know there was a argument on who Boston should keep between Powe and Baby. Baby every once in a while have his moments but Powe show up everyday. Powe is a better rebounder, post player, and defender than Baby. I don’t remember Baby doing anything in the playoff’s. I hope Ainge will give Powe what he deserve and don’t let him get away.

  35. YOUNGFED..."can't wear baggy jeans cause my notz wont fit." says:

KG is a broad who just happens to be really good at ballin’. Dude never used to talk like that until he came to the celtics. Now cause he got a squad he’s a tough guy. Yeah right, big baby should’ve whooped KG’s ass.

    ANYTHINGS POSSSSSIBBUUUUUULLLLL!!!! LOL

  36. JBFC says:

The difference between a guy like KG and a guy like LeBron is stark. KG was a loser for more than a decade with Minnesota, and now he’s overcompensating for it with his mongoloid-like antics with the Celtics. LeBron, on the other hand, singlehandedly transformed a franchise and made it a winner. Which is why it will be particularly sweet when the Cavs win the Eastern Conference finals this year.

Of course, you won’t read that sort of opinion on this site, unless you dig deep into the comments. Dime for years has had an institutional bias against LeBron, while glorifying poseurs like KG. It’s sad. I don’t know if it has something to do with LeBron’s race, but it’s sad either way.

  37. dmitry of jersey says:

@Three Stacks: you want more evidence of Kobe getting locked down… see finals vs. Pistons and finals vs. Celtics. Most importantly, see game 4 of the Celtics series. No way Lebron and Wade would have let Boston make that comeback. Noooo way…. that game alone proves that Kobe-the-ultimate-competitor-best-player-in-the-NBA talk is silly. He’s the 3rd best player in the NBA on his best day.

  38. YOUNGFED..."can't wear baggy jeans cause my notz wont fit." says:

    @Dmitry
If you think Kobe is 3rd best you should never post on here again. Real Talk

  39. dmitry of jersey says:

@Youngfed: and if you think you should be telling me what to do, you should … not. especially considering Im by far not the only one who thinks Kobe worship has gone much too far the last couple of years.

  40. baron von faulk says:

Ah, I like your points CF, and did not intend to imply that RayRay is no longer classy.

Just that he would rather be a winner than a classy loser, which is what he used to be. Now he is a (classy) winner on a team with someone not so classy (punkmeister kg).

I like Powe over BB any day of the week, he is beastie!

So did y’all ever WATCH THIS CLIP? I posted it a couple smack’s in a row…college dunk of the year so far IMO over that badass one that looked very similar that Dime made an article for previously.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lB4lTCAE5Fo

Maybe it’ll get some responses today since I am posting it way early?

  41. baron von faulk says:

@JBFC, Lebron’s race? You mean he is android or something, right? I would agree, he is GMO or bionic or cloned with Schwarzanegro DNA.

What’s up with all these young cats looking like grown ass men (Greg Oden, i.e.)? Bo Pilgrim is puttin’ some shit in them chickens. 13-year old girls looking like they in college already, something is up here. Growth hormones are passing thru to we humanoids f’sho.

  42. Celts Fan says:

@Rell, there’s really no legit argument for Big Baby, but everyone here knows one of them will have to leave in the end. you can’t pay 2 undersized 4s after their rookie deals. Just joking that this probably finalizes what was already a pretty 1-sided argument anyway (short of his ok J, Baby’s got nothing on Leon.)

and ya, KG is kiknda over-compensating for finally getting a chip,b ut to say his teams on Minn. were perpetual losers w/out throwing in the complete and utter incompetance of McHale and him costing them 4 out of 5 first round picks is unfair.

  43. BEdger says:

one thins about KG, from Mike Barret’s (blazers announcer) blog…..”Garnett ended up, as expected, talking trash late in the game, and going after Bayless with a number of explitives. Garnett always tends to go after a young player, or a guard (see the incident with Toronto’s Jose Calderon a couple of weeks ago), and never says anything to guys like Joel Przybilla. Joel wouldn’t have to even break a sweat in that bout.”

hey KG, it’s easy to talk trash to a guy a foot smaller than you, be a man and pick on somebody your own size

  44. BxBaller says:

Did anybody see how bad Deron was killing Calderon last? It was like everytime Deron made a move, Calderon was getting crossed .

Knicks suck, even though I like Lee, Nate & Chandler. Harringyon was scared to take last shot like a little bitch. Jamal would’ve took and made that shot.

  45. Three Stacks says:

    @ dmitry

So from his entire career, you find two instances when he doesn’t play spectacular basketball. And that means he’s overrated?

Those instances DID occur in the Finals, you know. And I’m not sure if you realize, but only two teams make the Finals every year, and it’s a pretty tough place to get to. Yeah, it would have been nice to win those, but I’m not gonna complain about having a shot to win a title on any given year.

  46. QQ says:

The Pacers were so bad that the Indiana FS network has given Stephen Graham the player of the night with 4 minutes left… He has 9 POINTS, 3 REBOUNDs that time. Real player of the game material, eh?

  47. Ian says:

    three stacks
i agree with u on kobe being top 3 but to me hes 3rd behind duncan (which gives u the best chance at a ring) and lebron who took scrubs to the finals. but if u say hes 1 i cant say no u may have some good points to make him number one. the problem is when u have fans like doug that say kobe who hasnt won anythin being the man is top 3 alltime an arguably number 1 all time.

    youngfed
nothing wrong with dmitry thinkin kobe is 3 i do also and being the third best player in the league is great btw u shoulndt say anything about it when u consider sheed to be great and a hof when the dude is crap.

  48. Ian says:

celts fan going to war with kg u wont always come out on top ull prob lose everytime my man

  49. Big Freeze says:

Dime mag are bitches. All I read were anti-yao blogs all week. The guy is tied for best center in the nba. Just because he is 8 feet tall with t-rex arms, a giant cranium, and Chinese does NOT mean he is soft. Suck his tiny Asian dick you fools!

  50. Ian says:

    lol @post 49

  51. K Dizzle says:

lol @ “Man that game winner from Donyell was like the knife scene in Saving Private Ryan”
    lol just cold…

To pile on Dmytri and the Kobe bein the 3rd best in the L on his “best day”, I don’t usually get personal, but you might wanna get the chromosomes counted cuz you a fool.
Sorry. Didn’t wanna get personal but stupid statements deserve a quick slap.

I couldn’t even tell the Lakers won by readin today’s smack till I finally got to Kobe shot like trash, till he hit the game winner…..
Yo, Dime, believe it or not, teams actually get up to play the Lakeshow. we get everybody’s best shot, then they don’t show up against the Minnys, Heat, Bucks, and Thunder.
I’m out like Laker fans bein stressed cuz we 16-2 and winnin by blowouts and gettin the ugly ones too…

  52. Austin Burton says:

@baron (#41) — Have you seen Ohio State sophomore Dallas Lauderdale? He looks like Tyreke Evans’ great-uncle, a good 53 years old. And he’s balding.

  53. baron von faulk says:

ha that’s hilarious Austin, yeah I saw that guy. I thought WTF how is this dude going bald already?!

BTW, thanks for quoting me yesterday, although I hijacked that “sweet beard of Zeus” from some Will Ferrell movie (Anchorman?)

I’m out like rapidly-advanced aging/growth hormones in our KFC chicken…

  54. Three Stacks says:

    @ K Dizzle

I know this is pretty much the first road trip of our season, but they haven’t played well this road trip.

Being outscored in the 4th quarter with a big lead is one thing, but they’ve given up 30+ points in the last frame in every game of the road trip. This worries me, it really does.

  55. Austin Burton says:

Anchorman was the last Ferrell movie I saw. His act is getting kind of tired with me, and I’m sick of seeing him on Sportscenter.

  56. srb says:

celts fan.. usually i agree with most of the stuff you say on here, because you are a celtics fan and all.

but Big Baby and J do not belong in the same sentance. Every time he shoots i have a serious heart attack. it looks ugly for one, and he takes them at the worst times. (of course lately he’s only in when its on garbage time so it doesn’t hurt too much).

“Dime for years has had an institutional bias against LeBron, while glorifying poseurs like KG. It’s sad. I don’t know if it has something to do with LeBron’s race, but it’s sad either way”

    huh?

  57. smity far away says:

    @srb

i’m chalking that comment about Dime’s racial bias against Lebron…and Kg’s “mongoloid” like antics to early drinking/ substance abuse. Otherwise i’d be tempted to give that poster the “Most Ignorant Post of the Day” award…

  58. Raj S says:

To the People at Dime: this is a perfect example of the anti-KG sentiment that goes around on your blog. There is no need for any specific anti-KG articles; the haters will find a way to infuse their hatred anywhere a forum is made available to them.

  59. Celts Fan says:

@SRB, agreed, but it’s better than Leon’s (which I said was the only thing he’s better than Leon at.) I did only call it “ok,” but I’ll give you “piss-poor but better than Leon’s” and move on if you’d like.

  60. doc says:

Can we stop hyping the Blazers now? While we at it,AI too.The man defines what a selfish player ia.The Sixers will never let him get a win it dont matter how bad we are.KG been cussing and snapping his whole career yall was just on his dick in Minny and now that he running shit the hate comes out.

  61. Markito says:

Did anyone watch the lakers game? They gave up their lead because Kobe and the starting unit were on the bench. That’s one of the reasons the Lakers are giving up their leads, plus the fact that Kobe had a real off-night.

Kobe was miffed that he had to come back in and then hit that winning shot. Anyone who calls him overrated is just plain dumb. He’s still the best player in the game period. And that’s coming from a Lebron fan.

Lebron is closing in real fast though – - once he gets that awkward looking jumper down its all over.

Hey, Jordan lost to the EXPASION team Raptors in their 72 game winnning season … guess Jordan was over rated more than Kobe is because he LOST to 1 poor team …
