Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have Dick Vitale call a current NBA game? Well, I know I have. Thanks to ESPN, on January 7, the on-air crews of NCAA and NBA basketball will swap roles.

For a Duke-Davidson game that plans to be must-see television, you’ll get Jeff Van Gundy, Mark Jackson and Mike Tirico, and for Denver Nuggets-Miami Heat, also known as Carmelo Anthony vs. Dwyane Wade, you’ll get Dicky V and Dan Shulman.

What NBA squad would you love to see Dicky V call?

   Probably the Thunder or Grizzlies, since there are a lot of recent college super stars on those teams, and they’ll be needing some info on the draft.

    They gave the NCAA crew Nuggets-Heat because Melo, DWade, and Beasley were monsters in college, with Melo and DWade even being in the same 2003 Final 4 batch. Melo was even the MOP.

    These are collegian who did well in the college game.

    There’s history there. Dicky V. will have a blast calling this one.
