Why did they fire Casey in the first place anyway. The guy was doing ok and even had KG’s back. This just shows how dysfunctional their front office is. But I disagree, coaches know they’ll get axed at some point; that’s the definition of their job. Succeed and you’re COY, but the year after you can get canned. So unless you’re sloan, pop or jackson, you know you’ll get fired eventually.

This may be the best year yet in the NBA, but the worst teams are really bad, and so many coaches of bad or underachieving teams are on the edge of the guillotine. Wittman and Theus are the latest names, Carlesimo and Mitchell have already been canned, and Dunleavy and Porter and del Negro and Curry (though not in danger of being fired) are getting a lot of heat.

In the Wolves’ case, though, I think it’s McHale’s incompetence. And you could point to the GMs of many of the other teams in question (Paxson, Kerr, etc) and make similar claims. Got to build a team that has the right pieces and can be coached in the first place.

You can’t fire Wittman, he’s a great coach and he deserves a chance. The problem is that he has bum players. He’s a very good coach, dond’t fire him, stop jumping on the bandwagon.

Evidently Kevin McHale seems to be O.K. with keeping Randy Wittman… Every time McHale praises Wittman’s effort on and off the court. But seriously a lot of those “close” games should of been W’s for the Timberwolves.

Ex. Spurs vs. Wolves this season when Parker dropped 55 and al jefferson missed like 2 consecutive put-backs. Or the blazers game.

I am sure McHale is perhaps not looking at the win and loss column, but instead on how the games play out (against really good teams) wether they win or loose.

So if its not the coach, al jefferson knows the answer to the T’wolves problem… *executing

T’wolves should look to fire McHale before Wittman
