The Kings would have been sooo much better off if Donovan stuck with his commitment to Orlando. They would have gotten Van Gundy. Instead, they gambled on 2 inexperienced young coaches and failed miserably

The Celtics could have been broken up much earlier before the 2007 lottery disappointment. After losing to Indiana in the 2005 playoffs, the Celtics purportedly offered Pierce to the Lakers for Odom straight up and were rejected. Who knows what would happened from that? As a Celtics fan, I'm just glad the Lakers said no. I wonder how the Lakers would have done with Pierce and Kobe. They still would have lacked an interior presence and Smush Parker might still have been running the point but pairing up two of the best all around wing players in the game would have been impressive.

On the Garnett side, I don't think Garnett ever gets traded if Minnesota just ended up keeping Roy. Minnesota probably wouldn't have been championship contenders still but they wouldn't have been bad enough to force them to trade their franchise icon.
