it aint easy being green says:
why does it feel like there has’nt been a cavs game this year where that did’nt happen to some unlucky shmuck.
also this just in – the rockets traded franchise to the grizz for second round picks in 2009, 2011, cash, and a slighly used washing-machine!!!!!

“big deal. remember when nate robinson pinned yao. THAT was sick.”
…but Nate is no LBJ. If LBJ does it then it is AMAZING! If anybody else does it, it’s just not as great.

That was an average block, how many times has he done that this year?

doug says:
who doesn’t pin Yao? Kobe(more than I can count), Nate Robinson etc. This shouldn’t even be mentioned this cat is soft as kleenex and he’s always getting blocked and dunked on by cats significantly smaller than him.

shanghaibabyfacekiller says:
seriously…every time yao gets blocked…and i realize its quite often..yall make a big deal out of it…fact is..hes the best player his height ever..does he have speed problems? of course but its natural considering his height…is he over hyped? perhaps, but the Chinese love him because he leaves his heart on the floor for the chinese team AND the rockets...has he had injury problems? a resounding yes. do you bedrudge him that? yes, because he seems more devoted to his country rather than the rockets? honestly, ppl in the states dont seem to understand his sense of duty towards China, and to be honest i dont blame yall, i didnt when i first moved out here, but this olympics i noticed, and it was pretty obvious, that Yao was leaving everything on the court while Yi seemed to be pretty reserved。 was yi reserving or is he just overrated? thats a whole different discussion, but all the knocks on Yao are really unwarranted...hes the best player his height bar none and thats a fact...the comparisons that hes a Chinese shawn bradley are ridiculous...shawn bradley wishes he was 1/10000000000000 as talented as yao for real....any comparisons between the two are just plain ridiculous

adam ivy says:
nevermind the fact that yao was putting it to the cavs when the refs werent calling some BS calls… really they still buy the crap that anderson v throws out there… the worse one was when ben stuck his head in the way of yaos elbow and they call a foul… the refs in the nba are terrible… stan van gundy called it right the other day… the gaurds get away with everything but the big guys dont get ish called for them

Bron42 aka Thugnificant says:
adam, yao was puttin it to them? he had 19 points but shot 3-10 or something.
Shang, best player his height ever? so that makes him the best out of what? 4 guys? him, bradley, mureasan and bol? wow way to stand out…Like i said before…hes 7 foot forever and gettin pinned and dunked on by guys literally half his height.ON A REGULAR BASIS. Thats pathetic…some impossing figure, i don’t care how big of a deal he is in china. Even slow guy shoulda dunked that shit.
December 24th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
Bron42 aka Thugnificant says:
rewatchin that clip…theres no way yao shouldn’t have dunked it..i dont care how slow he is..he deserved to get blocked bein literally 3 inches away from the rim wiht the defender backing off and trying to lay it off the glass? please….

Rod says:
Its really not that simple to just dunk it every time even if you are that tall…..there is a reason these guys are NBA players…..and shit if you play paint OF COURSE you are going to get dunked on by people who have been dunking their whole life shits inevitable these aren’t little kids out here playing

It’s still a huge gap between Shawn Bradley and Yao Ming, but the highlights are comparable.
Not surprised, not impressed. It’s like Josh Smith blocking Yao Ming. Everybody knows they’re capable of that. Good block though.

isotope says:
Bron, you totally missed the point about his height and lack of speed.
plus Yao got like 3/4 of his points when he was killing them in the 2nd half. He had to sit most of the 1st cuz of foul trouble. The game wouldnt have been even close if not for him. They finally started calling the hacks on him and he was killing from the FT line. Tell Shaq to do that!

Knickhopeful says:
WEAK BLOCK because its (1) weakside help and Yao did not see him and (2) Cavs did not get possession. Its a cheap shot. At least when Nate did it, Knicks got possession.
Merry Christmas fellow haters

Bron42 AkA Your Moms Best Friend says:
Drink, yes every player gets dunked on, some way more than other though. Yao has already gotten dunked on more this year than shaq or dwght have their whole careers.
Rod, if your 7’6, within a drop step of the basket, you should be lookin for the dunk and the foul. not some soft layup. Shaq, duncan, hakeem, d-robinson ALL would of dunked it just to make their presense felt. Hell I’m 6’5 and would of dunked that. Yes everyone gets dunked on or blocked but at that size and the level of talent you all give him credit for, it shouldnt happen so often. The block WAS overrated (lebron could pic his nose and people would say its the best ever) but it still shouldnt have happened. Not that close to the rim in wat could of been a statement game. You dunk that shit tryin to rip the backboard off and stare at lebron after it lol
