Monta Ellis is Back at Practice

Giolden State Warriors

Sort of. Monta Ellis is back at the Warriors’ practice facility, but so far has been relegated to the elliptical machine. They need whatever good news they can get.

OAKLAND — Warriors guard Monta Ellis was at the team’s practice facility Tuesday afternoon for the first time in more than three weeks as he began on-site rehabilitation of his injured left ankle.

Ellis worked out on an elliptical trainer, which he had been using since late last month, as he watched some of Tuesday’s practice. According to a team spokesman, his return to on-court drills will depend on how well his ankle progresses during the on-site rehab. No timetable has been set.

Ellis left the facility without speaking to the media, but his teammates were glad to have him around.

“You can see the fire in his eyes that he really wants to practice with us and play. He really misses basketball,” center Andris Biedrins said. “I think he’ll be really happy when he comes back.”

It’s a start. He’s technically not eligible to return until December 19th, but will likely be out for a while past that date.

Any chance Monta is back for the Warriors @ Orlando game on Dec. 22nd?

I just bought tickets to that game a couple of nights ago. It’d be cool to see Monta come back.

  5. Big Shot BOB says:

Make no mistake this mess is not Chris Mullin’s fault he wanted to resign Dizzle and had a contract worked out and everything until president Dick Head Rowell vetoed the deal.

  6. Dime Magazine says:

Mullin has made some poor moves, but most of this mess isn’t his fault.

Check this out from a few weeks ago.

    but spade is spade.

if ya can point fingers at a player or coach or president/owner…surely you can point a finger at the GM. no matter how much you may like him. dont make excuses.

he gave monta that crazy contract. he signed corey magette to $10mil a year. he extended stephen jackson and traded for jamal crawford…AND ALL THAT WAS SINCE JULY!!
