Troy Murphy Stuns the Lakers
As we mentioned earlier in Smack, the Lakers suffered their second loss of the season last night thanks to an underhand slap by Troy Murphy, in which he volleyed a Marquis Daniels miss up, onto, and finally over the rim.
Check out the tape from last night from the Lakers’ perspective. The best part of watching it through L.A.’s lens might by play-by-play guy Joel Meyers‘ reaction when Daniels came free under the basket with basically no time remaining. His “Oh no!” is great.

that’s actually good for the lakers… it will keep ‘em more humble and focused to get the ultimate price at the end of the season.
still a nice underhand slap though :).

on one hand, i wish that lakers won this one, since i’m lakers fan. on other hand, this will be good lesson for them. most of games they are trailing, then put in next gear and then they win. this will show them that they are not that much better then rest of teams and that they need to play for full 48 minutes.

That should be a shock to the system. We’ve been cruising too much the last 10 games and giving up way too many points. 118 to the Pacers?!?! WTF!
Play some damn defense!

Troy Murphy is a joke - C Webb basically called that last play what is was,
Hate to admit it but my Lake Show coughed hard late when it mattered, cant lose focus and drop garbage games against crap teams like Indiana,
You know its a bad loss when a dude who looks and plays like Troy Murphy beats you, this one will sting for a few days

Troy Murphy is a great player, and Indiana deserved this win. At least Troy has a higher IQ than most of the league.
