Paul Millsap Is About To Get Paid
Although the Celtics won their 15th consecutive game behind All-Star numbers from Rajon Rondo (career-high 25 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and three steals), the more impressive display was Paul Millsap.
Scoring a career-high 32 points to go along with 10 rebounds and two steals/blocks/assists, Millsap was a beast against the Celtics front line and at times looked virtually unguardable. I can now understand why the Jazz are going to let Carlos Boozer walk this summer to sign with the Heat.
Just like the Pistons trading for Allen Iverson to make room for the development of Rodney Stuckey, with Boozer gone, Millsap will be able to assert himself as a star in the League. In 40 minutes tonight, the 6-foot-8, 250-pound power forward recorded his 12th double-double in a row before he fouled out late in the fourth.
Would you let Boozer walk and build around Millsap in the post?

Millsap’s game is just of sheer force and athleticism, Boozer’s is more refined and dependable. Even though Booze isn’t exactly Tim Duncan, I would trust him a whole lot more in helping lead my team deep through the playoffs.

hell yeah, and Millsap will own Boozer too whenever they meet. If i were the Heat I would not commit to Boozer though, they got Beasley who will be teh D Coleman prototype in a couple years. IF they sign Boozer they might run into financial situation with signing Beasley later on.

Jazz as a team are rather unfortunate looking. They need to have a an eyebrow waxer on staff.

I only wish there was some way they could lead him on and keep promising they’re gonna give him a huge offer only to be like, “Nah, nevermind”…dude deserves it for what he pulled on the Cavs.
Totally off topic, but Cleveland State can eat a dick.

Millsap at least tries on defense. Everyone talks about Memo being one of the softest guys in the L, but anyone who watches the Jazz on a regular basis knows that Boozer is super soft. He just looks big.

I too think they will let Boozer walk, Jazz are just nasty lately with Paul at the PF.

JH says:
If Millsap can develop a J like Boozer has…then the Jazz might risk letting Boozer walk. Till then, Millsap is still the 2nd best power forward in a Utah uniform.

JH, millsap is the only other player the jazz have at power forward. Kosta Koufous? Krylo Fesenko? he is the only other power forward option they have. I honestly think that the jazz let boozer walk. He has been an injury case for 3 of his 4 seasons here it seems, and doesn’t play defense. If boozer walks, the jazz give millsap a good contract, and look at improving their shooting guard spot or center position from the bench.
