The Pistons are good again

Maybe Antonio McDyess was the Pistons’ cure-all after all.
In his first game back with Detroit since he was part of the Iverson/Billups trade, ‘Dyess has already recorded a bucket and a block off the bench, and as we’re writing this the Pistons are cruising, up 13 on the Wizards on the road. Rip Hamilton looks as good as he has since the trade, dropping 14 points as we hit the latter part of the second quarter.
No one’s expecting Elton Brand (or even Marreese Speights) numbers from McDyess at this point in his career; his return is more of an intangible thing, giving the veteran Pistons more of a sense of familiarity that could help them shake their recent struggles.

Any team is good against the Wizards.
Good to see Dice back anyway.

JCARR says:
A dose of ‘Dyess is what all the pistons needed. Agree with fallinup though, it is against the underachieving wizards squad.

So they play less than a half of basketball and you’re so ready to claim Detroit is good again? It’s a little early for that, no? It’s not like Dice is gonna put the Pistons over the championship hurdle. It’s all about how AI plays with this squad. But I guess fans should at least be happy Rip is playing better.
And Detroit just got outscored by 12 in the 2nd quarter. It’s a 3 point game at the half.

somebody clicked “post” without waiting for the game to end. instead of doing this so you can leave at 4:59pm pacific time, how about having a vnc session open and once the game finishes, vnc back into your open session and post it so you can avoid these, um, “accidents”? It’ll only take another 20 seconds of your life, have some pride in your work.
i do like the “dime magazine” account usage though; in case you screw up, at least none of the readers would know. i give you brownie points for being careful, mr. magazine.

Nice article Dime.
You print a story called ‘The Pistons are good again’, then they go lose to one of the worst teams in the L.
LOL at the writer after seeing the score of that game, going ‘oh, shiiiit…’

Wow. As a HUGE Pistons fan, I am about to hurt somebody. Specifically Allen Iverson. Can the guy let go of the dang basketball before we get to 8 seconds?!? Or shoot? Or pass? Or…here’s a thought..DEFEND??? Wow. I am utterly amazed and flummoxed. Especially flummoxed. How a team that is so good can become so mediocre in such a short time is beyond words. Inevitable, they will get better, but in the meantime, I am drinking more and sleeping less…
