This Is Uncomfortable
Vlad RadLakers fans probably enjoyed Luke Walton‘s presence in the starting lineup on Sunday night, as he posted another well-rounded effort for the third straight game. But someone now on L.A.’s bench – Vladimir Radmanovich – doesn’t sound quite as enthused.
“I have talked to Vlade,” Phil Jackson said. “He’d like to assassinate me.”
“Vlade is doing his job,” Jackson said. “He’s staying with it. … He’s part of that Pink Panther group that held up a jewelry store in Paris.”
Though Phil is obviously kidding, it’s also clear that Vlad Rad (if Jim Rome ever said his name, that’s undoubtedly what he’d call him) this situation might be a bit more uncomfortable than the previous name-calling incident. Then, Jackson said Radmanovich was a “space cadet” and “my favorite martian.”
Not everybody can be the kumbaya Celtics, who make field trips as a 12-man unit when they’re not on the court together.

Vlad Rad can shoot. But he might have the worst D in the NBA. The bench is were he belongs, but going from starter to DNP-Coach’s Decision is pretty harsh. Phil did not have to do that to the Space Cadet.

@smitty313…my bad.i didn’t know that he had DNP-Status but yeah in the last 3 games he played for about 2.5 minutes. but he will be put back in the lineup pretty soon in my opinion

Phil is just shaking up the roster to make sure those guys come to play. Rad probably had gotten too comfortable and he’s the type of guy that needs to make shots to justify his playing time. You can gaurantee next time Radmanovic gets on the court he will be playing as hard as he can, or he can sit the bench and sulk. It’s up to him. Either way the Lakers are more efficient. How about Odom not getting the starting nod over Walton? That’s bigger news to me.

We all know he couldnt guard a mop, this is just pretty standard Lake Show chirping going on right now, Drew wants to play more at the end which he came out and said, Vlad isnt happy about his role, Lamar was hella unhappy at the start of the year – Its the same thing every year,
Hell I wouldnt love those boys as much if it wasnt! – all this hug it out, team buddy buddy stuff with the C’s and Cavs gets annoying to listen too, plus its boring!
I think one of the issues here is that the Lakers are just bored, they havent played ANYONE in the last few weeks and need a challenge to get up for, somehow I just know they will play like crap tonight and just barely clip the Knicks, it will be a high scoring affair with little D being played – Dec 25th cannot come soon enough

Vlad was scoring and getting alot of steals, sure Luke can pass, but his shot is still off and he isn’t sure how to attack the rim, and his D needs some work as well, but I think they need to balance the minutes a bit more.
