Top 10 Americans Playing In Europe

When the apparent European exodus was taking place this summer, a lot of notable guys decided to lace up across the pond. You’ve already heard about Brandon Jennings and his life, and seen Josh Childress doing his best Jordan impression, but who else has been impressive?
According to European basketball blog Ball in Europe, the top ten guys are as follows:
Earl Calloway
Jamont Gordon
Jannero Pargo
Brandon Jennings
Earl Boykins
Josh Childress
Andre Emmett
Chris Lofton
Davon Jefferson
Taurean Green
If you are an NBA GM, who do you try and pick up next season?
For a complete summary of what these guys have done in Europe, click HERE.

This list is weak. Put these guys on a squad together and they couldn’t beat UNC or Duke’s current mens teams.

Diego says:
I’d go with Pargo too.
Nice to see Taurean Green doing well after getting flipped around the NBA for 1 season. Yes, never-nervous Taurean orchestrated the Gators to their back-to-back titles.

Bad bad bad list. Some players are not anything special in Europe (for the time being concerning JEnnings)

JCARR says:
Pargo… Why did the hornets let him go??? He was their best option of the bench.

P_Dizzle says:
and everyone is worried that all the big names of the NBA are going to go overseas and play with the local pickup team??
get real!
the best talent is in the NBA and will stay that way for a while.

dat dood says:
pargo easily.
and i’d say those ten are a lot better than a local pick up team… a lot of those players have some serious talent and can probably come back and play in the nba again.

Mr. K1X says:
Corey “Homicide” Williaims gotta be on that list. Ask RonRon, they go at all summer in a good-spirited rivalary that has been well documented. he is in Australia putting up numbers.
BTW, he started that mohawk/ballers trend two summers ago. Nobody that was ballin had one. the NBA/NCAA is mad slow with that one.

Corey “Homicide” Williams in this list ? I have to look again to my world map. I always think that Australia was not in Europe…
December 4th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
Kobeef says:
JR Holden is a superstar in Europe but is not that good..in fact not even bench-player quality in the NBA…if that gives you some idea of the talent we are talking about.
I’d go with Jennings since he is still pretty young.

pffft ... Knicks says:
Trajon Langdon?

K Dizzle says:
Why the hell haven’t the Raps got a hold of Pargo to help with their sorry backcourt situation? Dude is a bonafide bucket maker and can fill the hole at back up point.
Question for whoever knows:
Is Jennings a free agent next season or is he able to enter the draft?

Read the original article to see that this is not the Top10 Americans in Europe but a review on some American Rookies in europe. Some are good, some are so-so and some should go back to the US
