Top 10 Best In-Game Dunkers

I’m a big Jason Richardson fan. I’m stoked to see him head over to Phoenix, where he’ll have the opportunity to play meaningful games beyond April instead of having the majority of spring off. We know what he’s capable of doing when he plays alongside a legit point guard. And now that he’s got Steve Nash running the ship, expectations should be pretty high.

But as a two-footed jumper, J-Rich doesn’t pull out some of the stops that we’ve seen from LeBron. Though Dwyane Wade has made a play for James’ crown as the League’s best in-game dunker, LBJ is still No. 1.

    I’d still go with Vince Carter. His game’s expanded past dunking, so that’s why a lot of people write him off as past his prime. LeBron’s noteable because of his vertical, speed, and his power. He doesn’t do things that Vince pulls off. Vince should also get the nod over LeBron because he lacks LeBron’s size and still is the standard when it comes to dunking.

    @VINNY – did you really mention James Worthy as one of your best in game dunkers of all time? Honestly? Might wanna rethink that man, he threw down some of the most plain dunks I’ve ever seen. Same plain one hander off of a pass from Magic. Dude could ball no question but top ten in game dunker? HELL naw.

    rkirby, actually hes right, lebron isn’t a great style dunker..hes a big power dunker…but for the most part he only has 3 dunks. even his highlights from the raptors game were all the same one handed dunk, just comin from different angles. Hes more amare than he is vince or jordan when it comes to dunkin…he dunks 1 hand cocked back, 2 hands or maybe a windmill but hes not 360ing on the break like vince used to do or bangin on 7’0 guys like jordan used to do and dont you dare say that weak space jam dunk over duncan who didn’t even jump. Hence why u will never see lebron in a dunk contest that isn’t rigged for him to win cough cough mcdonalds cough

    This list is pretty on point you should make it 12 and elevate Tyrus Thomas from honorable mention and add Stromile Swift as well.

    SRB did you just say Paul Pierce?Can you remember the last time you seen that guy get off the ground for a jumper much less a dunk.LMAO.Pierce shouldn’t even be in this discussion. V.Carter is the illest dunker i’ve ever seen excluding nobody, in game dunks,dunk contests I’ve never seen anyone do what that cat does as far as dunking.

    DWade is the BEST ingame dunker in the world! You must realize that although Lebron jumps higher because he is taller, and Lebron’s dunk are thunderous, he never dunks on anyone because no one in their right mind will jump with Lebron once he gets a running start, although he travels EVERY DAMN TIME, he will dunk on whoever jumps with him.

    DWade on the other hand, dunks ON PEOPLE ie: Okafor, Josh Smith, Marc Gasol to name a few this year. People underestimate his jumping ability because he is 6’4″, once that happens and they try to jump, they get DUNKED ON.
