When Will Jose Calderon Miss?
A couple weeks ago, I asked the question, “When Will Jose Calderon Miss?” After getting TONS of hate about a possible jinx (remember what you said Dank?), the streak is still alive.
Through 26 games, Calderon has still yet to miss a free throw, going a perfect 59-for-59 from the charity stripe. In tonight’s loss to the Thunder, Calderon didn’t attempt any free throws, keeping his going. Tomorrow night he and the Raptors will head to San Antonio.
How long can Calderon go without missing a free throw?

What’s the longest all time? Does anyone know?

Dagomar says:
Better question:
How long can the Raptors lose? Never missing a free throw doesn’t mean shit when the offense you run sucks horribly.

Uknow says:
I agree this free-throw streak or the chance at any records is currently meaningless.
The Raps are straight garbage right now…rock-bottom.

How is it meaningless? You could be on an undefeated team or one that loses every game. The shot in itself is the same for everyone. It is something you can always lay claim to.

@dagwaller
Micheal Williams holds the NBA’s longest streak at 94, set in 1993.
@Dang
I accept your apology. What do you need help with for your fantasy team?

Dagomar= 100% correct. The real question is will Calderon ever play defense???
December 20th, 2008 at 2:45 am
Karon_te says:
That shit bout Calderon’s defense is pure BS. There are tons of elite PG that don’t ever play defense….

Richard Wellner says:
Calderon will make 450 free throws consecutively.

Dank says:
Aron, im currently 5th in a 14 playr league. its a yahoo league but we’re playing for cash.
well, heres my squad
Josh Smith
Joe Johnson
Mr. Calderon
Derrick Rose
Manu Ginobili
Gerald Wallace (who hasnt exactly lived up to the hype but i can understand with all the family issues hes had)
Tyson Chandler (Bust, at this rate i could get 11 ppg, 13 rpg and 4 bpg playing for the hornets)
Andrew Bynum (my amazing 1st round pick)
Rudy Fernandez
Al Thorton (up and down)
Thaddeus Young (hes been in my doghouse for quite some time now. but with brand out, should i keep him? his value goes up right?)
Trevor Ariza (damn you Rick Kamla!)
Luis Scola
Russell Westbrook
wat could i do to fix that squad? currently, JR Smith is a free agent, along with Roger Mason (who i figure with Manu back gets less PT, so i backed off him)Kelenna Azubuike, Ty Thomas, Erick Dampier, Javalis McGee (whom i would love to acquired but im scared of the risk)Earl Watson….
what is wrong with my squad? how could i fix it? i get offers for J-Smoove all the time, and i know he’ll turn it on, but what can i expect of guys like Wallace and Chandler?
i appreciate any help you can get me. and promise to never lash out at you again, even if calderon misses a free throw. thanks!

@@dank….who gives 2 craps about ur shit fantasy team. but even more importantly…WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT CALDERONS FREE THROWS…this guy has gone complete 180 on what the colangelo and the rest of us rap faithfulls thought he would be.He got paid this summer for his asst:trnv, driving the ball to the hoop and hitting that open J from the top of the arc.But hes hyet to show his consistency, like every other signle raptor in franchise history(except vince, maybeeeee even antonio davis)
At this point id say anyone on the raptors is expendible except bosh(who is just extremely overworked already b/c of sam givin him nearly 43 mins a game). Oneal, bargs, calderon, graham, moon, parker….get rid of em alll maybe for some expiring contractsand cash because raps are well below the salary cap…who knows u might see the headline…Raptors keep Bosh sign NBA PHENOM LEBRON JAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(i wish)lol
ps is it just me or does Jose walk up the court like the biggest fag in the world???whats that all about??
December 20th, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Dank says:
lol @ toronto boy over here. thats the kinda attitude that makes players not want to stay in toronto. so you might as well give Bosh your address so he send you those “thanks for the Shit Fan Support” letters to you and other toronto fans.
PS i’d try analyzing why calderon isnt living up to the hype rather than his walk on the court.
and yea Lebron and Bosh prolly will be playing together. definetely not in toronto tho

8.8 dimes a game is very good in a shithole offense
The Raptors need to lose players like bargnani and others, but Calderon should stay. Put better players around him and watch his numbers rise.
